00:00I'm Sue, I'm Will's mum.
00:02And I'm his dad, Dave Roberts.
00:05So we're outside the Lincoln Davis Centre in Shrewsbury,
00:09where this bench has been donated in memory of our son.
00:16And it's just amazing. It's beautiful.
00:19When Will was poorly, his last visit to Lincoln Davis,
00:24he wasn't fit enough to get inside into the centre.
00:28So he sat on the old bench out here.
00:31And Di Everson, his tumour nurse, came out to see him.
00:36And that was it.
00:38So obviously we went and it was all downhill from there, obviously.
00:42And then after his funeral,
00:46we'd been donated like £8,000 from the funeral.
00:50And we were talking to Helen Knight and she said,
00:53how about a bench somewhere in his memory?
00:56And so, and it was just so fitting. It was perfect.
01:00So, and it was spot on as far as we were concerned.
01:04Beautiful idea.
01:05It was just somewhere we thought to people to come and sit outside
01:09and be undercover if it could have a roof, which it has, which is brilliant.
01:13And for family as well, so that everybody can sit and chat
01:17if they've had a good diagnosis or a bad diagnosis.
01:20And also for wheelchairs as well,
01:22so that everybody can be undercover and be together.
01:25That's it.
01:26Yeah, it's perfect. Absolutely perfect.
01:28And this has all been donated by local firms.
01:32And we're just so very, very grateful.
01:35And it's such a lovely, lovely piece of furniture
01:38that will be here for many, many years.
01:40And hopefully everybody will make use of it.
01:43So we'd just like to thank everybody for all the donations
01:46of doing the plans and making it and bringing it here today.
01:50It's just so very, very thoughtful and a lovely tribute.
01:54Absolutely. Yeah, definitely.
