00:25Police in Germany have arrested the man suspected of killing three people in a knife attack
00:30on Friday night in the western city of Solingen.
00:33North Rhine-Westphalia's Interior Minister Herbert Reuel told public broadcaster ARD
00:39that the man police were looking for was taken into custody.
00:42Reuel gave no further details, but the built-in Spiegel News websites reported that the suspect
00:48had given himself up.
00:49The arrest comes after the so-called Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the
00:54attack.
00:55In a statement published on its Amak News website earlier on Saturday, the group said
00:59the attack had been carried out to avenge Muslims in Palestine.

01:09who had wounded several people after stabbing indiscriminately on a downtown square.
