00:00Where are you off to?

00:01I'm going to go to the island for a few days.

00:02When we were starting to think about where we were going to shoot this,

00:05Zoe had a really specific idea of what Slater's compound should look like.

00:10I really wanted to create an environment that I personally wanted to be at.

00:14Good conversation and good food and dancing.

00:17We wanted it to feel like it had history,

00:19that it wasn't just this cold, expensive place.

00:22You having a good time?

00:24We were in the Yucatan for three months,

00:26and we stayed in the hotel that we were filming in.

00:29Well, hello there!

00:31Yucatan is such a beautiful, picturesque place.

00:34There's incredible food, and the people are amazing.

00:37I've never experienced making a movie like this before.

00:40It felt like a summer camp vibe.

00:42But then, in the film, the whole hotel had this dark energy.

00:46The reality that you're in this jungle in the middle of nowhere

00:49really adds to the thriller, horror atmosphere.

00:52And I think it really elevated the film.
