00:00Hi I'm Daniela and I'm Sales and Marketing Director of Morelli Ice Cream Limited.
00:04So Morelli's was established in 1911 by my great-uncle. We still have our own family
00:08stores on the north coast, Portrush, Port Stewart and Ballycastle, as well as 10 branded stores all
00:13over Northern Ireland. We also do pre-filled retail packs for the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury's and we
00:19also do a co-branded range for Dunn's stores under their Simply Better brand. My two older
00:24brothers Arnaldo and Maureen look after our new product development and we love getting ready for
00:30the likes of the Great Taste Awards in Glasneirin because it lets us be a little bit more creative
00:34and my brother's very proud of his caramelised hazelnut which we achieved three Great Taste Gold
00:38Stars for and a Golden Fork and he doesn't let us forget about it. We have lots of proud moments
00:43here at Morelli but the ones that stick out for me probably are our centenary celebrations back
00:49in 2011. We had a Guinness World Record, a Guinness World Record we still actually hold today and it
00:54was for the longest chain of people licking ice cream at the same time. Another one we're really
00:58proud of is our award. The first award of note was when we won Champion of Champions for the first
01:03time for our vanilla ice cream and then we have our Great Taste Awards and we are currently the
01:08Supreme Champion of the Glasneirin Irish Food Awards so all things to be extremely proud of.
01:14We really love the chance to collaborate with other local businesses and we've done that
01:18successfully twice now. First time was with Irish Black Butter and most recently the Devil's Churn.
01:23I think people can really trust the family business and particularly their local family
01:27businesses as well that have been here for a long time.
