00:00You
00:15Four seasons ago ten participants set out into the wild on a bold new survival experiment be alone for up to a year
00:24They'd stay as long as they could stand it
00:28And go home when they could take it no more pretty sure I just saw a cougar about 10 feet from my front door
00:35Now a select group from every season since then will get a second chance to prove
00:41They have what it takes in a brand new punishing environment
00:46Mongolia
00:49Lying between the utter desolation of Siberia to the north and China to the south
00:55It is a land twice the size of Texas
00:58with the wild landscape untamed by man
01:02Legendary warrior Genghis Khan was born here in the 12th century
01:07With such untouched wilderness the area has become home to some of the most vicious predators on earth
01:14including the stealthy snow leopard the aggressive Asiatic black bear and
01:20Three species of poisonous snakes including the venomous pitbot
01:27Mongolia's terrain is incredibly diverse with jagged mountains as high as the Rockies and
01:33The Gobi Desert which is nearly the size of Alaska
01:41Temperatures here go well below negative 30 degrees
01:45Freezing the river solid and making fishing nearly impossible
01:50In fact, the winters are so frigid that livestock often die standing up
01:56frozen in place
01:58To survive here. You must know what you're doing
02:02The highly skilled participants on this season have all tasted defeat before and they've come back for one reason
02:11redemption
02:12Meet the cast of this season's alone
02:24So beautiful
02:26So happy to be here
02:28surviving Patagonia was a really intense connection with the landscape and
02:33Joy of living intimately with it on a daily basis
02:37It feels like I'm coming home when I come up the trail and into my little front yard
02:42And then there was this other piece that was a really emotional hardship of being separate from all of my loved ones
02:54Missing Tyler my family and friends. I just feel sad
03:01Physically my biggest challenge was getting enough food to eat
03:03You know, I was only able to catch six fish the lack of protein is
03:08Definitely contributing to my slowing down. I am losing a lot of weight. I
03:15Never hit my mental
03:18Spiritual or emotional wall and I didn't think I was quite at my physical wall yet, but knew I was close
03:25Getting pulled from season three. It's probably the most heart-wrenching thing that's ever happened in my life
03:30I'm gonna have to extract you for medical reasons
03:35I wanted to stay and having that end was really hard
03:46When I got home I
03:49Was in awe of all the different people that I've met
03:52I was in awe of all the different colors and textures and sounds and tastes and I felt reborn
04:01Here in Mongolia my drive to win this time is stronger than it was before
04:06I wasn't ready for my time to end and it feels like I have a little bit of unfinished business
04:11I will definitely be trying fishing again
04:14I've tried to learn some new techniques and then I'm bringing a bow and arrow to help try to get some
04:19Mammals as well and I want to stay in the game as long as I possibly can
04:24All participants are put through an assessment by former special operations soldier and top survival consultant Karen O'Donnell
04:32Carly lasted an amazing
04:3586 days in Patagonia her ability with fire shelter and wild edibles really helped her last long
04:41Take it back home and have a feast of metals tonight
04:44Unfortunately her struggle to catch fish really forced her hand and it's gonna be exactly the same here in Mongolia
04:51She can't survive just on greens and roots
04:54She has to procure meat be it fish or land animals that will mean the difference between going home or winning it all
05:03This season survivalists will be dropped into a vast uninhabited area that encompasses a thriving animal population
05:12pristine water and
05:13abundant plant life
05:20It's like being in a washing machine for eight hours beautiful place feeling fantastic
05:25to attempt an experience like this in such a remote location the production staff must bring in and build all the
05:33Infrastructure needed to house the participants during their orientation. I like the neighbors around here
05:38The crew has built everything from traditional Mongolian girls. Otherwise known as yours
05:42We've got a herd of cows going straight down the middle of the girth to satellite communications
05:48Chopped firewood for warmth and even created a practice bow range
05:53This is our target range
05:57Everything to make this home away from home for the next two weeks is taken into consideration
06:03Including a fully stocked cook tent to supply meals for everyone. What is that?
06:12I
06:28Really wanted those Pringles I
06:32Feel like I've been holding this camera for years now as soon as you pick it up again
06:35It all comes flashing back the arduous task of constantly filming
06:42You
06:46Feeling motivated
06:50Ambitious success day 10 ending on a
06:58People would come up to me and talk about ending on a high note
07:02Or people would talk about me
07:05Dancing like my son
07:07He was first time on the dance floor and that was my little man right there cutting it up
07:12My time in the wilderness was ended around day 33. We're sliding in the winter food scares for everybody
07:20I've been a vegetarian
07:22against my will
07:25Had an animal finally hit my trap and escape and that was kind of like the part that crumbled me a little bit
07:31rabbits can chew through fishing line I
07:35Set them all up not even considering then. I was just really
07:39Thinking I fell through there and I really need to get back to my family
07:42I kept hearing my wife's voice ring in my head saying when you need to come home come home
07:46And so that's when I felt it was time for me to go
07:55In terms of work, I'm still working in accounting
07:57I think I'm the only white-collar worker on any season I can remember
08:00So I'm really stepping out of my box to be brought back again for a second time. It's amazing
08:06It reaffirms that it wasn't a fluke and then my skills are recognized and very very grateful
08:12My son Campbell is seven and a half. So he understands it. He's older this time. So he grasps it a little bit more
08:19He thinks it's all really neat
08:20But when it got down to the point when I was leaving he starts to get a little sad
08:24It feels like I'm missing milestones and you know, all these grand instances
08:28But I'm coming here with my sights set on the prize and I've got people to provide for things
08:34I want to do for my family. The $500,000 prize is a large factor
08:41Brits time in Patagonia proved he can survive in the wilderness, but he ultimately tapped due to loneliness and a lack of food
08:48Here in Mongolia Brit faces the same hurdles
08:52But this time he has two new weapons a bow and all the experience and knowledge he gained in Patagonia
08:59The bow could be a real game-changer for Brie because here there are animals for him to hunt
09:04Survival is gonna really come down to the mental game and the physical game if he can handle both he could win
09:17We're here at base camp right now you've been here for about
09:21Four days in this amazing landscape way way far up north and Mongolia bumping right up to the Russian border all of us
09:29are staying in these
09:30Gears, it's nice to be in a place that sort of transitions us from town and city to living outside
09:37These gears are quite homey wood stove in the middle
09:40There's a skylight and my bed and was not expecting there to be a real bed
09:46For the next few days pretty amazing all participants get acclimated to their surroundings
09:52I'm finding large bones all over the place makes you wonder
09:56How it got to this point
10:00There are brown bears out there. We do have ticks in the area
10:03This is typical of this kind of eco zone that includes learning about what dangerous predators
10:08They will be facing while in the Mongolian backcountry the Eurasian brown bear
10:14Venomous snake the Asian viper. We've seen a few of these around
10:21Look at his eyes
10:24It totally has slits guys
10:30I've got a poisonous snake Siberian pit viper in my yurt
10:34So I'm gonna see if I can find it hopefully and get it the hell out
10:40There you are it's tough to see he's fast
10:46There we go, there is a Siberian pit viper is it my yurt?
11:00Christ they're everywhere. Welcome to Mongolia. I
11:10Am a mountain man, I am tough
11:17Often when I meet people on the street, so he's the guy that you know starved himself, you know
11:23Passed out a little bit there
11:26Like the first person I ever met that recognized me even he said eat your fish. I've got
11:3133 has a fish I was oblivious. I had no idea that I was that skinny
11:38They actually took me off at 73 days because I was much too light
11:44So his body is going to starvation
11:48so
11:49He should go up. No, I
11:52have food I
11:54Can continue I can eat I can eat higher percentages of the food that I have
12:00Mentally and spiritually it was the most amazing thing I've done today
12:03But when I looked at myself in the mirror, I was like, oh, thank God they pulled me. It's dangerous for you. Just stay here
12:11I'm taking you to the hospital. I
12:15Mean the experience I had was the experience I had all I did was learn from it
12:21First month that I was back. I quit my job
12:24I was feeling a little stagnant and so I moved into my truck and then I just sort of lived very very day-to-day
12:32Mongolia is gonna be tougher than anything I've ever done for me. The challenge is greater physically. I
12:38Want to make sure that I'm fed and I want to make sure my body is strong
12:43I'm gonna bring a bow and some snare wire. Why the full-on experience is my goal
12:48I would really like people to see that
12:51Hey, this is not only possible. This can be very joyful to have an experience such as this. I am so ready to be out there
12:59Dave Macy's experience in Patagonia going 73 days proved his abilities as a survivalist
13:05Unfortunately, it all came crashing down for Dave because he was hoarding food and not eating it
13:09If he does not procure enough food or eat enough food, he could see himself going out the same way
13:18The mild climate the participants experience in the days leading up to launch is
13:23Deceptive the brutal Mongolian winter is right around the corner with temperatures dropping to negative 30 degrees or more
13:30Means they'll need to collect and store an abundance of wild edibles before the first frost hits
13:36Let's go talk about this one a little bit. So the potent tiller shrubby sink for the flowers you can make tea from
13:42You know
13:43Supplementing your diet with plants is so key
13:46Carbohydrates roots and all this medicine you actually get fiber running through you
13:52Yeah, regularly you can poop regularly. It's important out here, you know
14:00I
14:07Kind of wondering if they eat this I'm eating now
14:13When we close the bear and I are eating the same stuff
14:16They'll turn into a bear
14:18Gets a big risk going back again. I could rest on my laurels from last show and say hey, I did great
14:23This is awesome. Aren't I fantastic? I'm doing it again
14:27I'm not exaggerating. It's this big. I think the moment that people most identify with is when I let that fish go
14:35You are feisty. I'm glad
14:37But in that moment, you know, I really didn't need that fish and for me health-wise, you know, I have multiple sclerosis and
14:43Went two years really not being able to function or walk. And so I felt great when I was on Vancouver Island
14:49I have never felt healthier
14:52When I left Vancouver Island, it was kind of an odd ending on day 56 I felt this pull from my kids
14:58Today is my youngest son's eighth birthday. I miss my kids, you know
15:06It was as if he had picked up the phone and called me and said mom I need you home and I had to listen to
15:12That I need to get home to my kids, you know, but over two years, I've never felt this way
15:18I need to get home to my kids, you know, but over two months
15:21I've been away from them and I know they need me. I just feel it in my gut, you know
15:28Getting a second chance is
15:30especially nice for me because I do feel like I have unfinished business because I didn't really get to figure out what my limits were and
15:37By coming back again. I feel like here. I'm gonna actually be able to test the limits of my skills
15:43Mama yeah, I think I would do great. Thank you
15:47And this time my kids promised they won't call me home and I'm gonna try to turn that channel off the best that I can
15:57On Vancouver Island Nicole's experience and knowledge with plants and edibles really helped to survive
16:04Her shelter was warm strong and dry and she procured more fish than probably anyone we've seen on the show to date
16:12Dinner lunch breakfast here in Mongolia. The weather gets a lot harsher a lot quicker
16:17She could really struggle to replicate the success. She had on Vancouver Island as someone who struggles with multiple sclerosis
16:23She's gonna have to work really quickly to procure all the plants and herbals that she needs to function on a daily basis and as
16:30Winter really hits it's not gonna be easy
16:43From season to season on alone each location comes with its own special sets of obstacles for the production staff
16:50Here in Mongolia the extreme remoteness of the area along with the coming winter means that everything from communications
16:58to ground transportation
17:00Must be scouted set and maintained
17:04all terrain vehicles are brought in to cover short distances to keep them running a
17:09Maintenance camp is built and is staffed with a 24-hour mechanic
17:14If the river swells and cannot be crossed by horse or ATV
17:19there is a second line of defense a
17:235-tonne expedition vehicle that doubles as an ambulance during extraction and
17:29Finally an airstrip must be constructed for supply runs and emergencies
17:34While all of this happens out of view of the participants
17:40They are focusing their attention on relearning how to use their cameras
17:44Gotta get this right to document their adventures in the bush. We're back with the cameras
17:50Apparently we've forgotten a lot. So we are retraining with the cameras and trying to get our brain wrapped around them again
17:58Just trying to get used to these cameras and prepare for drop day
18:00That's
18:06Where I'm headed under degrees
18:08I just want to find Josh and I don't know how many days that's gonna take my entire experience on Vancouver Island
18:15being as short as it was and
18:17Being a hiker from season four was spent slogging through the jungle
18:23This is the most intense hike I have ever had to do
18:27This is so sick, this is insane what ultimately ended my time on last season was an
18:34ankle injury that my brother suffered
18:40The injury to him was something that was worthy of tapping out for I'm just glad it wasn't any worse than it was
18:47It's Josh. Okay
18:49Josh is has taken himself out of the
18:54competition
18:57I
18:58really wasn't able to focus on homesteading or actual survival related skills at all and
19:05It was definitely a bummer to be coming out so early
19:13What's most appealing having a second chance is definitely showing the skills that I wasn't able to before
19:19Making my friends and family proud back at home since being on alone my blacksmithing companies picked up a lot
19:25So I've been really busy in that field. We hand forged knives and tools
19:29I've left our business in the hands of my brother coming out on this adventure. I'm not too concerned
19:34He's a very talented blacksmith. I trust he'll take care of orders when I'm gone
19:39Be strong and stay well
19:46I want to see what I'm truly made of
19:48Brad
19:50Left Vancouver Island early. He didn't get a chance to go up against the elements this time around winters coming fast
19:58Let's hope he's got what it takes to survive
20:01Brad spends a lot of time alone practicing primitive skills in his home state of Illinois
20:06This will be invaluable here in Mongolia
20:09Brad is the youngest participant here, but he does have experience fishing trapping and hunting with a boat
20:15He's going to have to rely on his experience and knowledge from home to procure enough food to survive here
20:24While the participants continue training with their cameras
20:27The production staff is miles away at the forward base camp that will service the plots of land each participant will survive on
20:35We were looking at putting a site in this valley right here. This is forward base camp
20:40We have to be able to get to each one of these participants within the hour if they do hit their red button in case
20:47power or
20:48Satellite link goes down at the production hub. We have a mirrored system here
20:53So we're always aware of what's going on with our participants in the field
20:57the launch is just a few days away and
21:01Now the main focus of the participants is on mentally preparing themselves for what could be up to a year in the rugged
21:09Mongolian wilderness
21:11This is all gonna come down to my termination and how much I want to just live in the woods and win the game
21:26And I think alone season 4 prove that I can deal with the suck you having to go through that forest as fast as I
21:31Did I've been to mountains been in the jungle?
21:35None of it's this hard. It was hard on my body because my mind I was pretty positive
21:39I knew if I just kept my spirits up, you know
21:42It'll get me through that next quarter mile or get me across that next rock bluff on the beach
21:50In Vancouver Island, I was the hiker my brother Shannon
21:53He was the camper and while he was setting up camp, he just didn't notice a log on the shore and slipped
22:05Hurt his back and had to be pulled for herniated disc
22:12I was about a day and a half away from Shannon before I was pulled out. What what happened stay in a pretty severe back injury
22:19so we had to extract him and
22:22Unfortunately, we have to extract, you know as well
22:26I was a little depressed having to work so hard at something that you really want and then not be able to get it
22:32When I got home, I just started really building my life in Maine again, I
22:38Am just doing what I usually do
22:40What's appealing about getting that second chance?
22:42It's about getting my actual first chance. Honestly, it's it's about really be able to get to camp and set up my life in the woods
22:50Survival is a way of life for me. It's something I love to do. I'm feeling pumped
22:54Jesse's
22:58Jesse's from the military. He's a Green Beret and he has experience of survival. He's got no intention of going home early this time
23:06His experience as a hunter should suit him. Well here in Mongolia. It's a big-ass bear trail
23:13Unfortunately, this type of survival is different to what Jesse's used to in the military. This is about thriving in a new land
23:19He's going to have to carve out his own place in this brutal terrain if he's going to survive
23:25You
23:33Unlike past seasons where survivalists set up camp near an ocean or lake here in Mongolia
23:39The participants will be living on the shores of several rivers
23:44Originating in the rugged Kenti Mountains, these rivers are abundant with fish
23:49However storms also unleash flash floods that can wash participants and their camps
23:56downstream in seconds
24:03The participants will be launched in just two days
24:07That means communication systems must be foolproof
24:10Requiring the safety staff to scale mountains place radio antennas and make final adjustments
24:17This radio repeater system will allow the safety crew to communicate over the massive expanse of land
24:23The repeater basically bounces the signal kind of like a satellite would over the curvature of the earth
24:27Get this thing ready for Mongolian wind storms without them
24:31They would not be able to call in for air extraction in the event of emergency or tap out
24:38Alex the loud and clear we got good comms with production hub. So we're feeling good about it as the crews continue their checks
24:46The participants finally began to wind down after nearly two weeks of rigorous training
24:51Nicole's out at her out at her site and she's of course got fish everywhere. So there's just like oh
24:57Look at the innocent little fish. I love you so much. Well, I have three hanging back in my shelter
25:03So you I shall let go because you need to go back into the ocean and spawn stars. They're so beautiful
25:11What just we?
25:16The
25:25Mouse's
25:27Completely destroying my gear. He was chewing on my pack all night
25:31And every time I turned on my headlamp, he'd scurry away most folks from season to identify with me my killing of the mice
25:38bazinga
25:40Squished mouse my favorite
25:44You didn't even get the bait you little bastard and also my tenacity
25:48I think more and more people realized that I was undergoing a life-changing experience and that I was
25:55Really giving it my all my wife's gonna be in her heart. I know she's gonna be no she's gonna be disappointed in me
26:01Please God
26:07The reason I tapped on season two was the hunger the weather definitely wasn't pleasant but the hunger was intense I've never felt
26:15Cravings like I felt on that adventure
26:17Ever in my entire life. It's getting worse day by day by day
26:22I'm starving Marvin. I'll make it rain fish or something, man
26:27There was a day day 55 that basically just broke me and I knew that I needed to start eating what I had a little
26:33bit more
26:34Frequently than what I had been doing
26:36I made the decision that I was gonna burn all my firewood and I was gonna just eat the last of my
26:41Limpets and periwinkles and once I did that I knew my time was at an end
26:45And that was a very hard thing for me to come to terms with
26:49I
26:51Think I was living the experience for myself, but I also think that I stressed out about it way too much
26:55I wanted to prove myself
26:59After the season ended I'm still an electrician I go to a lot more primitive skills gatherings
27:05I've been tested once I got whatever grade I got on the test this time
27:09I want to do better
27:10Hopefully I can enjoy it a little bit more while still pushing past my limits
27:15Mentally Larry Roberts is one of the strongest participants out here. He's really skilled in primitive living and it really helped him on Vancouver Island
27:23Larry's problem in season two was that he just couldn't procure enough fish if Larry has the same problems procuring food here in
27:30Mongolia it could mean disaster
27:32So I'm going to go back to Vancouver Island and I'm going to try to find some fish that I can use to make a living
27:38I'm going to try to find some fish that I can use to make a living
27:40If Larry has the same problems procuring food here in Mongolia, it could mean disaster
27:50The orientation period has come to an end as
27:54A final send-off the local people have set up a traditional Mongolian dinner before the survivalists depart for their alone experience
28:03with an archery demonstration
28:07Musical performance
28:11A traditional meal see all that fat get as much as we can and a bonfire
28:19And the finale of the night a traditional Mongolian wrestling match I
28:26Got to do the wrestling and that was like one of my objectives here coming to Mongolia because I grew up wrestling
28:31I've been wrestling since I was just a little kid. And so coming here and doing it in in another person's culture
28:37By far one of the coolest things I've ever done before all of this is incredible
28:50Another beautiful day here in British Columbia
28:55People identified me from two particular moments the first one probably being the mouse that I caught
29:02Oh my god, look at it a little mouse people got a lot of laughs out of that teeth are just too hard
29:13Actually, no, they're fine
29:15Another one being me losing my ferro rod. I set the ferro rod down and it rolled down
29:22the fire pit
29:24into the fire
29:27And if I can't get a fire
29:29Then I can't stay here
29:31I had some amazing times in Vancouver Island and I also had some of the lowest times in my life in Vancouver Island and
29:38Sometimes those were minutes apart from each other
29:47What took me out last time was feeling burnt out feeling disconnected from my family and friends and community
29:55The isolation, you know is difficult
30:00The season to experience itself was
30:03Incredible getting back was was the hard part because I got back and within a couple of hours
30:09I was just like what did I do? Why did I leave?
30:12I felt like I had quit something that I knew was really important. It was a huge regret for me
30:22Since I left Vancouver
30:23I'm still teaching and instructing primitive skills and wilderness living skills from the time. I was a young kid
30:30I was learning and practicing these skills. And so I want to prove that I can do it
30:35I want to test myself and go for it
30:43Randy is an extremely capable survivalist. He excels at hunting and trapping with primitive tools
30:50But on Vancouver Island, it wasn't Randy's lack of skill that caused him to tap out it was the alone factor
30:58here in Mongolia winter is gonna hit quickly and
31:02If that is the case and Randy is all set up, but with nothing to do loneliness could once again be an issue
31:08You
31:14It is the day before launch and the survival consultants are reviewing the participants gear
31:20Bags are packed secured and removed from the participants so that no contraband can make its way into the field
31:31Two pairs of outdoor pants sleeping bag. Could you take it out the back?
31:3525 exactly mate. Well done. You've got everything squared. There's a good reason for that
31:54It is amazing to be selected a second time I can't believe it's like lightning striking twice
32:00You know this time out I just want to improve the skills that I brought to the table before
32:06Doing this again is like a chance to go back and correct your answers on a test
32:12both of us
32:14It's a lot of work. I
32:16Feel like you got to be the first time around and I really just want to go out and get an A
32:20Oh my goodness, if I had not been here, we probably would have burnt this place down
32:25Ultimately ended my time in the wilderness was the resources of fish ran out. I want to eat. I
32:33Want to eat something?
32:35It was definitely starvation that took me out of the game
32:40Mongolia
32:42Is going to be so exciting. I have a feeling that's going to be very similar to Alaska
32:46I really hope to capitalize on the game animals in the area. I'm bringing a bow
32:51I really want to hunt. I really want to be successful at bringing in more calories and this new location
32:57I think will give me that chance. Just look at all this space
33:01This is what Vancouver Island?
33:04didn't have
33:08Brooks Forte is bushcraft and homesteading
33:11She's very experienced when it comes to living outdoors her time on Vancouver Island proves
33:16She can adapt to rugged conditions
33:19But in the end she tapped out due to lack of food
33:21Hopefully there's some deer in the area Brook has brought a bow trapping wire
33:26Fishing line and hooks if she puts all these three things into action, she could procure enough food to survive the winter
33:39The morning of launch has arrived all participants must perform their final weigh-ins
33:49181
33:55224.6
34:04Final search is performed
34:10And lastly the participants are given their bags for any final adjustments
34:15In just a few short moments, they'll be launched into the Mongolian wilderness
34:45That was awesome, that was
34:47Yeah, 22 year old Sam season one was okay
34:50He knew some some things and was pretty stubborn and stayed out there a while
34:55Mousy feast coming right up
34:58People identify me for being the mouse eater who had a pregnant wife at home
35:03My mindset was to do minimal labor on my shelter and living situation and to just ride it out
35:10Basically when the weather's like this
35:12It seems like it's a week of crappy days to every one good day
35:19So what took me out of season one was kind of threefold
35:22I had my wife that I missed very much and that took an incredible emotional toll on me
35:29Combined with the weather which was horrible
35:32At this point, I just want to go home
35:34The conditions were very very difficult with the storms that never seemed to end after weeks and weeks and weeks
35:41Beyond that I think I had an unwillingness to
35:44Conform to what the natural world had in store and when you try to push your agenda on mother nature
35:50You're gonna lose and I lost
35:54I'm gonna go to bed now
35:59Last time when I was gonna go on alone, I had a pregnant wife this time is much much different, right Sydney
36:06No, not different
36:08We have a 13 day old baby and a two-and-a-half-year-old little boy
36:13It's huge transition for me going from being a really young married guy to a father of two
36:18Going into this thing. So this season I really hope to win half a million dollars to provide for my family
36:26And I have a little bit of a hunch that there's some others who have their eyes on the prize as well
36:33So it's kind of a double-edged sword between extreme excitement and and terror
36:39Sam
36:41Proved on Vancouver Island that he can push his body and mind to the extreme all the pieces
36:48made just right
36:51Might get us some food tonight
36:53He survived almost exclusively on rodents in Mongolia. It's a little bit different
36:59Sam only brought trapping wire as one of his ten items and
37:02Since the river is the main source of food and you can't use trapping wire in the river
37:07He could find himself tapping out because he's not procuring enough food for survival
37:23The day of the launch has arrived
37:27All the participants have earned a second chance at being number one
37:32And everyone knows that their chance of redemption is at hand
37:42They're going up against the best of the best and for most it will be a long and grueling journey
38:02I did the first one. It was for me. This one is for my family
38:08Feel ready to go. I think I've been ready for this for a while. Larry do as much cursing as you can
38:17We're in the middle of nowhere
38:20Will it be the frigid Mongolian weather that picks them off one by one
38:26My experience in Patagonia is still really close to me and so it's
38:31Kind of crazy to be going into it again, but I'm also really excited
38:41Will it be the predators that drive them out
38:46I've been anticipating this for a long time now
38:50Just a large open area to try to survive it it's gonna be an incredible challenge really
38:57Or will the demons from seasons past resurface
39:05It's hard to explain to somebody what it's like it's gonna be intense it's gonna be intense
39:13We're all in for some serious suffering
39:17But that's okay suffering makes you a stronger person
39:26Think about reboteness. This is it. You're not gonna be running into any people
39:35Now I'm here I'm doing this so this is good
39:42I've never really brought myself to a breaking point. I don't know where my wall is. This place is so huge
39:48I can't believe how open and empty this place is. We are all so alone out here
39:55It's no joke
40:00It'd be really hard to make sure you don't get hypothermia
40:02It's gonna be hard to make sure you don't injure yourself gonna be hard not to get frostbite or something really really serious
40:09I think I'd be a fool if I wasn't wasn't a little scared. So it's it's dangerous and
40:15I hope we all rise to the task
40:20How they each meet their in no one can be sure
40:25But
40:27Whatever it is, they will need to face it alone
40:33That civilization going away
40:41Good luck to them all
40:48Mongolia is gonna be the most remote place that we've had on any alone show if it gets as cold as it's supposed to get
40:54Here, it's gonna be extremely challenging the land here isn't being unforgiving
40:57We are really in the middle of nowhere. All ten of us have done this before. This is the chance for me to redeem myself
41:07This is a second chance to test myself in the wilderness back. Yeah
41:12These are working awesome this season. We're competing against alone veterans
41:16I
41:19Want to prove that I can do it alone this time I've been trying to drain the infection. Oh, yes
41:25I'm not yet. Sure if it's poisonous every calorie counts out here
41:31Mongolia is a wild cold crazy environment frozen solid man. That's a big track
41:37I
41:44Don't look like PTSD from going through this again
41:48This season will separate those that can connect with the land have a tap-out emergency and those that can't today just wasn't my day
