00:00:00The show has an NL East matchup.
00:00:16It's the Washington Nationals taking on the Miami Marlins.
00:00:20Alongside my partner, Chris Singleton, I'm John Schiavi.
00:00:22Thanks for joining us here.
00:00:23And, Chris, we've got an opportunity to watch one of the true superstars of the sport.
00:00:28Number 11.
00:00:29It's always exciting to see him in action.
00:00:31And it seems like he consistently finds a way to impact the game.
00:00:34Yeah, Boogie.
00:00:35It's offensively at the plate, defensively when he's on the bases.
00:00:39And this guy's just a heads-up player, but he's got so much talent.
00:00:42And he makes the most of that.
00:00:43I believe it starts with his preparation because you never see him give away an at-bat.
00:00:52Almost ready to get underway.
00:00:54And starting this one is number 27.
00:00:57Chris, he hasn't exactly been stellar here on his home mound.
00:01:00Well, I'll say this.
00:01:01Every player wants to perform well at their home ballpark.
00:01:05In front of their fans, in front of the city.
00:01:07And you know this guy no different.
00:01:09He wants to be more effective here.
00:01:11So, you know, you look at the numbers.
00:01:12They haven't been great at home.
00:01:14And we'll see if he's able to start that in this one.
00:01:17So just about set now.
00:01:18Up now for Washington.
00:01:20Number 30.
00:01:21That pitch in for a strike.
00:01:23And that's how this game gets started.
00:01:27First pitch, 640.
00:01:34Next one is off the plate.
00:01:35And that's ball one.
00:01:39And a pitch.
00:01:42And that one, cutting but missing down low.
00:01:51Ripped on a line.
00:01:54Pierre pulls that one down.
00:01:56One up, one down.
00:02:01As we take a look at the Nationals lineup.
00:02:04A tough challenge in this one.
00:02:06An excellent arm on the mound.
00:02:07Singing, they're going to have to capitalize on their opportunities.
00:02:10Yeah, and they're not going to get a whole lot if he pitches the way that he's
00:02:13capable of pitching.
00:02:15So, you know, be ready to swing from the first pitch.
00:02:17You get something straight, man, you better turn on it.
00:02:20Now it's the shortstop, number four.
00:02:23He's not the power guy, but he can hurt you to all parts of the ballpark.
00:02:33And that one pulled foul.
00:02:40No score, just getting started top of the first.
00:02:47The next pitch misses.
00:02:48And a count even one and one.
00:02:55And now the count one and two after the swing and the miss.
00:03:04Swing and a little roller right side.
00:03:07And he handles it himself for the out.
00:03:09Well, he didn't recognize changeup earlier enough.
00:03:11Got out in front a little bit, rolled over on it,
00:03:13and beat it into the ground.
00:03:14Andre Dawson.
00:03:17Next to hit for the Nats, Andre Dawson.
00:03:38And the first pitch misses for ball one.
00:03:46And there's a ball.
00:03:48He hasn't wanted a challenge in both of those pitches off the plate away.
00:03:51Don't expect anything down the heart of the plate.
00:03:53You may just have to be patient and take your walk here.
00:03:58A little out front there as he swings through it.
00:04:04Two outs.
00:04:07Good eye right there.
00:04:32Three-two down.
00:04:35In the air, center field.
00:04:38A little bloop single.
00:04:39And that extends the inning.
00:04:42Hitting is really easy for some guys.
00:04:44One thing that I can see already,
00:04:46his bat stays in the zone on plane for an extended period of time.
00:04:50And guys like that, they have a high contact rate
00:04:54and they have more barrels because of that bat being on plane.
00:04:58And even when you don't get it great,
00:05:00it's still hit hard enough to dunk something in like that in front of the
00:05:03center fielder.
00:05:04Vladimir Guerrero stands in here, leaves that one off the inside.
00:05:19Next pitch misses.
00:05:21And now 2-0.
00:05:28Throw to first.
00:05:29Dawson back on a dive.
00:05:45Line drive and that should be extra bases.
00:05:51Dawson around third.
00:05:55He will score and they take the lead.
00:05:571-0.
00:05:59Just so sound in his mechanics.
00:06:01Hits against a firm front side.
00:06:03And the hands just continue to carry through the middle of the field.
00:06:13And it's scored in position with two away.
00:06:16And now here is Harper.
00:06:18He's got the power but great contact skills.
00:06:21One of the best contact hitters in the game.
00:06:24First offering and it just misses.
00:06:39The pitch.
00:06:41That one missed.
00:06:43No need to go right at this guy.
00:06:44First base is open.
00:06:45He can hurt you.
00:06:46So make him expand his zone.
00:06:48If he doesn't, give him a walk.
00:06:58The pitch.
00:07:00That one's spoiled.
00:07:01And the count now 2-1.
00:07:04A little tardy on that fastball.
00:07:05He's going to have to get it going a little quicker.
00:07:07Get that front foot down.
00:07:13Here's Harper.
00:07:14The count 2-1.
00:07:17The pitch misses.
00:07:18And the count is 3-1.
00:07:44A little roller up along first.
00:07:47Inning ends and that stops the bleeding.
00:07:50One for the Nationals on this RBI double.
00:07:53It's an early 1-0 lead.
00:08:10We go to the bottom of the first.
00:08:12And today's starter, Max Scherzer.
00:08:15And as usual with him singing, I think we can expect plenty of strikeouts.
00:08:19Yeah, Boogie's racked up over 3,000 strikeouts in his career.
00:08:22So expect to see more of the same in this one.
00:08:28Bottom of the first.
00:08:29And here's the veteran outfielder, Juan Pierre.
00:08:36The pitch.
00:08:40Bunting for a hit.
00:08:42And he picks it up and he'll put it in his pocket.
00:08:54Scherzer deals.
00:08:57Now 1-1.
00:09:07And he lays down a bunt.
00:09:09Fairhand has to hurry.
00:09:11Off balance throw.
00:09:12In time.
00:09:13And the bunt doesn't work out.
00:09:16As we take a look at Don Mattingly's lineup for the Marlins.
00:09:20They're dealing with a top-level arm of the mound,
00:09:22so this figures to be a tough matchup for him.
00:09:25What's the key to the offense today, Singing?
00:09:27Boogie, I think when you've got a guy that's this talented on the mound,
00:09:31you've got to find ways to disrupt his rhythm,
00:09:33make him uncomfortable a little bit.
00:09:35The guys that can handle the bat and perhaps, you know,
00:09:37bunt for a base hit.
00:09:39Get him moving off the mound.
00:09:41If you're in the box and he seems to be just in a flow, step out.
00:09:44Mess up his timing.
00:09:46Somehow try to get in his head a little bit.
00:09:48And then when he does come in the zone, you may only get one pitch.
00:09:51You better not miss it.
00:10:02Next offering is in for a strike.
00:10:05And, Singing, as a team, you need to make the most of the very few opportunities
00:10:09he's going to give you, right?
00:10:11Absolutely.
00:10:12And, you know, if you don't get to guys like this a lot of times early,
00:10:15once they really settle in, it's going to be the later innings that they hand
00:10:19that ball over to a reliever if they do at all.
00:10:24Swagging a bouncer.
00:10:27Tosses to first, and they got him.
00:10:35The third baseman, Miguel Cabrera.
00:10:39Next to hit, Miguel Cabrera.
00:10:41This is another guy capable of hitting tape measure home runs.
00:10:52First pitch, and that's in for a strike.
00:11:03And that one missing low.
00:11:13Scherzer winds, kicks, fires.
00:11:17And a swing and a miss.
00:11:18Good fastball going early until they show they can make some good contact.
00:11:22You keep on throwing the pitch.
00:11:26Next offering is down low.
00:11:36Swing and a miss.
00:11:37Struck him out.
00:11:39That's the inning.
00:11:40Nothing doing for the Marlins.
00:11:42Still behind by a count of one to nothing.
00:11:46Bounce to that.
00:11:47Just bounce to that.
00:11:48Everybody want to come, I'm announcing that.
00:11:49I'm always going to get it.
00:11:50I'm always going to get it.
00:11:51Even if you sit back tonight.
00:11:55Top of the second, and now number 25.
00:11:58One of the rare guys at first base that you almost think defense first.
00:12:03He is that good with the gloves.
00:12:05You're talking about top of the list elite defensive first baseman.
00:12:16You'll want.
00:12:20He needs a quick one, two, three this time around.
00:12:23Last inning, threw a lot of pitches.
00:12:34Left hand hitter waits.
00:12:37Going to count one and two.
00:12:38Really good take, especially with two strikes.
00:12:52Righty to the plate.
00:13:04Hot shot to third.
00:13:05Base hit.
00:13:06Man aboard on the leadoff single.
00:13:12I really like that swing, man.
00:13:14He didn't just push it the other way through the infield.
00:13:17He drove it that way,
00:13:18and it kind of makes me think he was thinking opposite field
00:13:21as he stepped into the box.
00:13:22Got a pitch he liked, and he got it done.
00:13:25Now, number 29.
00:13:28That one's in there, 0-1.
00:13:48There's the swing and a miss.
00:13:49Clyde Washington with home plate duties in this one.
00:13:52Little bit of a low zone move from Clyde.
00:13:54Nothing crazy, though.
00:13:55Pitchers that work consistently down around the knees
00:13:58and are able to command their off-speed stuff
00:14:00tend to have some pretty good success with him back there behind the plate.
00:14:04And a pitch.
00:14:06Swing and a miss.
00:14:08The velocity blasted it right past him.
00:14:13Gary Carter now at the plate.
00:14:16Number eight, Gary Carter.
00:14:20In there and it's 0-1.
00:14:37And a pitch.
00:14:39Breaking ball in there for a strike.
00:14:49Here comes a pitch.
00:14:51Grounder might be two.
00:14:53To second, there's one, and it's a double plate and the innings.
00:14:57We go to the bottom of inning number two.
00:15:00It's the Nationals' one and the Marlins' nothing.
00:15:13And welcome back.
00:15:14We head to the bottom of the second.
00:15:16Here's the cleanup hitter for Miami, Gary Sheffield.
00:15:19The right fielder, Gary Sheffield.
00:15:30Scherzer back to work.
00:15:33And there's the strike.
00:15:35I'm impressed that he went right after him on that first pitch.
00:15:38That's the key.
00:15:39Try to get ahead in the count and you can play around a little bit more at bad expense.
00:15:45So here's Scherzer.
00:15:49Good eye right there.
00:16:00Popped up.
00:16:01Foul territory behind the plate.
00:16:05And out number one on the grab.
00:16:07That was a good, hard fastball with some nice ride up in the zone right there.
00:16:12Hitter looked like he was on it, but I think that velocity at the end just beat him.
00:16:17Instead of a line drive or something hit deep, it's a pop-up and an easy out for the defense.
00:16:25Stanton, a guy capable of hitting it a long way.
00:16:29Oh, you can tell how comfortable he is.
00:16:31Look at that front foot on the line as he is close to the plate.
00:16:35But he can be very quick to a pitch that is down and in.
00:16:57And the righty deals.
00:17:00Swing and a miss.
00:17:01Struck him out.
00:17:02Two down.
00:17:07And here is Derek Lee, a guy who makes an impact not just at the plate but also in the field.
00:17:14And that's in there for strike one.
00:17:16He's a guy that's changed his stance over time.
00:17:20It's been a little more open, straight up, and now more closed.
00:17:25One thing hitters will do, it's not so much about the stance,
00:17:29but it's what it does to the brain in terms of resetting and how they approach the pitcher.
00:17:39Kicks and fires.
00:17:53Off the mark there.
00:17:55And now three and one.
00:18:08Swings and misses and we're filled up.
00:18:20And a swing and a miss.
00:18:21And that's that.
00:18:24Miami down in order.
00:18:26And it remains 1-0.
00:18:42Back here at the ballpark.
00:18:43Now it's the second baseman, number five.
00:18:47The second baseman, number five.
00:18:51The pitch.
00:18:54Just off the outside part of the plate.
00:18:57That's where you want it.
00:18:58It's a good miss.
00:19:04And a liner out into right center for a base hit.
00:19:07Around first, heading for two.
00:19:09And that's going to roll to the wall.
00:19:11Not stopping.
00:19:12He's going for three.
00:19:14Safely into third with a leadoff triple.
00:19:18So the Nets lineup turns over.
00:19:20Now here is number 30.
00:19:28First offering misses the mark.
00:19:44And he deals.
00:19:46And that's outside.
00:19:50No outs.
00:19:51Runner over at third.
00:20:17He swings and fouls one off.
00:20:30And the right-hander deals.
00:20:33That's inside.
00:21:00San Dios.
00:21:02That one the other way.
00:21:04Can't get there.
00:21:05And now maybe extra bases.
00:21:07In to score is the runner from third.
00:21:09And they take a two-run lead.
00:21:11And that's a double.
00:21:12Back-to-back base hits.
00:21:14Just a great approach.
00:21:15Looked like that was exactly what he wanted to do with that pitch.
00:21:18And right off the bat, he knew he was taking that wide turn at first to head for second.
00:21:30And now up for Washington, number four.
00:21:39First pitch, and he just misses.
00:21:49No outs.
00:21:50Runner on second.
00:21:59And that one is lifted in the air.
00:22:02Dives and makes the catch.
00:22:08So a great diving catch.
00:22:10And that was only possible because of the route he took to get there.
00:22:14Right, Chris?
00:22:15Yes.
00:22:16That catch shows us just how efficient that route to the ball was.
00:22:19In fact, that's about as good as it gets.
00:22:21Pretty much a direct line to it.
00:22:24And perhaps he was a wide receiver in a different life.
00:22:27I don't know.
00:22:28But, man, great job to hold on all the way through the dive as well.
00:22:31No fumble caused by the ground.
00:22:33Dawson stands in now and watches strike one.
00:22:46And a pitch.
00:22:49Just missed.
00:22:58And a 1-1.
00:23:00And a swing and a miss there.
00:23:02Hitter's got some good opposite field power.
00:23:05What I like about something being hit to the right side into the outfield
00:23:09is that the base runner at second has a very good read
00:23:12and can determine whether or not he can score on that base hit.
00:23:17Next pitch way upstairs.
00:23:34Swing and a high fly ball out there towards left field.
00:23:38He makes the grab.
00:23:39And there's two down.
00:23:40Just pulled off of it a little bit right there.
00:23:42That front shoulder coming open instead of staying closed.
00:23:45If he does that, he's going to be able to go up the middle the other way
00:23:48with some authority instead of a fly out to left.
00:23:52Next for the Nationals is the D.H., Vladimir Guerrero.
00:23:56He's been such a good hitter with runners in scoring position.
00:24:00Some guys just take it to another level.
00:24:02For him right now at the plate, it's like everyone else is in slow motion
00:24:06and he's in full speed.
00:24:08First offering misses badly for ball one.
00:24:19Two outs and one in scoring position.
00:24:27Next pitch is outside.
00:24:29Looks like he's being a little cautious with him in this at bat
00:24:31after doubling the first time up.
00:24:33Doesn't want to make another mistake.
00:24:44Chopped to third.
00:24:47Slings it across and that's the third out.
00:24:50One in the inning and it comes from a rather unlikely power source.
00:24:55It's now a 2-0 ball game.
00:25:08As we go to the last of the third.
00:25:11And up to the plate is J.T. Realmuto.
00:25:15J.T. Realmuto.
00:25:20Scherzer back to work.
00:25:24And misses off the outside edge.
00:25:26The only adjustment he needs to make is his target.
00:25:29If you aim at the outside corner, that slider's going to end up way off the plate.
00:25:33Perhaps look a little more down the middle and you get it right where you want it.
00:25:37Next offering is in for a strike.
00:25:40It was a good changeup to hit up in the zone.
00:25:42I don't think he recognized it.
00:25:44I'm sure he'd love to have that one back.
00:25:46And a foul ball.
00:25:59And a swing and a miss.
00:26:01And one out now.
00:26:03Really love the pitch sequence right there.
00:26:05I'm telling you what.
00:26:06Pitcher and catcher on the same page right now.
00:26:08That's shortstop number two.
00:26:21And the batter down, Ramirez.
00:26:23He's turned into one of the best shortstops in the game.
00:26:28First pitch doesn't find the zone.
00:26:30One down, base is empty.
00:26:44Next pitch in for a strike.
00:26:46And it's one and one.
00:26:54Swing and a miss.
00:27:00Scherzer ahead one and two.
00:27:04Bounce to the right.
00:27:06And that chance handled.
00:27:08And two straight set down to begin the bottom of the third.
00:27:11Batting duck.
00:27:13The left fielder.
00:27:15Flick.
00:27:16Floyd.
00:27:18Digging in.
00:27:20Flick, Floyd.
00:27:21Good contact guy.
00:27:22Good defender.
00:27:24In there for strike one.
00:27:33And he pumps it a strike.
00:27:41I understand you want to try to gauge that guy's fastball.
00:27:44But you also have to be aggressive and ready to hit in your zone.
00:27:47Now you're in a tough spot.
00:27:53Next offering misses.
00:27:55It's a ball and two strikes.
00:28:07But why the kick to pitch?
00:28:11Stays alive.
00:28:23The wind and the pitch.
00:28:27And down on strikes he goes.
00:28:29Marlins set down in order.
00:28:32And the Marlins down quietly.
00:28:35And they're down two nothing.
00:28:45Out of the fourth, here's a big power threat.
00:28:47Number 34.
00:28:49This guy makes great contact.
00:28:51One of the best in the game at putting bat on ball.
00:28:54He's got such quick hands.
00:28:55And he's gaining pitch recognition.
00:28:57That keeps him square to the plate.
00:28:59There's a good chance that his bat stays in the zone a long time.
00:29:02And that produces solid contact consistently.
00:29:11Next offering is in for a strike.
00:29:20A little bit low.
00:29:31And it's even up.
00:29:38The wind and the pitch.
00:29:41And now it's filled up.
00:29:50And it's ball four.
00:29:51He missed down low.
00:29:53His ability to draw walks has been something that's been part of his career since day one.
00:30:00Number 25 digging in for the Nationals.
00:30:12Flares it into the outfield.
00:30:14Ducks one down, base hit.
00:30:16Throw back in quickly.
00:30:18First and second now with nobody out.
00:30:23Number 29 digging in for the Nationals.
00:30:32And the first offering is not close.
00:30:50And a big swing and a miss.
00:30:52Movement in the bullpen.
00:30:54Number 34 appears to be warming for Don Mattingly.
00:30:57Number 46 getting cranked up as well.
00:31:01First and second here, no outs.
00:31:08Swings and misses.
00:31:10That is strike two.
00:31:11Well, he knows they don't want to give him anything to hit.
00:31:14But when you've got opportunities to drive in runs, you've got to expand the zone.
00:31:18He's capable of going out there and doing damage with it.
00:31:21Well, that's a blue zone right there or the cold zone on the hitting charge.
00:31:25Just doesn't have much success in that part of the strike zone.
00:31:29And a really good job of the pitcher executing.
00:31:32Try to go there as often as you can.
00:31:34The numbers are in your favor.
00:31:44Gary Carter digs in now.
00:31:46This guy has turned into a beast.
00:31:53And the first pitch misses for ball one.
00:32:03Runners at first and second with one gone.
00:32:11Next pitch is outside.
00:32:13And that's ball two.
00:32:26Right-hander kicks, deals.
00:32:28In there for a strike at the bottom of the zone.
00:32:36The 2-1.
00:32:39High fly ball out to center field.
00:32:42Pierre in position.
00:32:44Two down.
00:32:51Now batting, number five.
00:32:55Here's a speed threat, number five.
00:32:58If he can get through this one, put up a zero,
00:33:01This will help in his outings to come.
00:33:12Swing and a pop-off in foul ground.
00:33:15And that's a foul ball.
00:33:24Righty delivers.
00:33:26And that one wrapped foul.
00:33:32First and second, two down.
00:33:42And he chases that one.
00:33:44And that is that.
00:33:46So the Nats leave a pair,
00:33:48As they're unable to add to their 2-0 lead.
00:33:59Welcome back.
00:34:00John Chomby and Chris Singleton with you.
00:34:02And leading off the bottom of the fourth, Juan Pierre.
00:34:06Juan Pierre.
00:34:19And the right-hander back to work.
00:34:23That one catches the corner.
00:34:24It's good speed at the top of the order here.
00:34:26You want to get it on, see if you can get a stolen base,
00:34:28Maybe get around the bases and pick up a run.
00:34:43Bounce to third.
00:34:44And foul ball.
00:34:520-2 now.
00:34:57Went too far that time.
00:34:58It's 1-2.
00:34:59I don't think he was trying to miss by that much in a 0-2 count.
00:35:02Just tried to overthrow that pitch.
00:35:12The 1-2.
00:35:16Popped up to the left into foul ground.
00:35:19And that will drop foul.
00:35:26Left-hand batter waits.
00:35:30And a foul ball.
00:35:31He stays alive.
00:35:39And a pitch.
00:35:44Stays alive.
00:35:56Next pitch is outside.
00:35:58This guy's a fun guy to watch taking it bad.
00:36:00He just battles up there.
00:36:02He doesn't take a pitch off at all.
00:36:04Makes it so difficult on the pitchers out there.
00:36:06You can tell they get frustrated with how long it takes to put him away.
00:36:11Fouled off.
00:36:12He was late.
00:36:13Five foul balls in this at-bat so far.
00:36:16And these guys are going head-to-head.
00:36:18You can see the crowd.
00:36:20They're starting to get into it a little bit more,
00:36:22even though there hasn't been a ball in play yet.
00:36:27In plenty of time to first.
00:36:29Leadoff hitter retired in the fourth.
00:36:31Deceptive slider right there.
00:36:32Stayed in the tunnel a long time.
00:36:34Got that hitter out front.
00:36:35Rolled over.
00:36:36Put it on the ground.
00:36:40And now number 11.
00:36:42The M.O. for him is contact.
00:36:45The guy who's going to deliver average, not a ton of power.
00:36:48He's looking to hit a line drive somewhere.
00:36:50That's why it's a team.
00:36:51And when you look at a lineup, he's a great two-hole hitter
00:36:54or a guy that you can put at the bottom to help turn that lineup over
00:36:57and have some momentum for your top hitters coming up to the plate.
00:37:01The fish yet to pick up a hit here.
00:37:08There's a strike.
00:37:09Well, interesting strategy there.
00:37:11He must have seen something after that first pitch.
00:37:13Didn't attempt a bunt, but here on the second one he does.
00:37:21Rolled over to third.
00:37:24Sends it across to first.
00:37:26Already two gone here in the home fourth.
00:37:29Well, he's doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air.
00:37:32Let's the defense work behind him with another ground ball.
00:37:35Good execution.
00:37:37Miguel Cabrera.
00:37:38The next up for the Marlins.
00:37:40Not only can he hit the cover off the ball, he's got a great eye as well.
00:37:50That one's in there on one.
00:38:06On the ground to third.
00:38:09Zips it across, and that is the inning.
00:38:12And one, two, three, go the Marlins.
00:38:14They're still down.
00:38:15It's two zips.
00:38:26We go to the top of the fifth.
00:38:27Now at the plate, number 30.
00:38:30Leading off for the Nationals, the left fielder, number 30.
00:38:34The pitch.
00:38:37Line drive, hauls it in for the out.
00:38:43Now batting, number four.
00:38:48Number four, digging in for the Nationals.
00:38:59Pitch misses inside.
00:39:001-0.
00:39:07Just missed.
00:39:13The wind to kick the 2-0.
00:39:16And it's fouled away.
00:39:19Pretty impressive.
00:39:20We haven't seen that pitch from him much,
00:39:21but he's got a really good feel when he throws it.
00:39:25Righty to the plate.
00:39:28Swings and misses.
00:39:30And the count's even at two.
00:39:47The pitch.
00:39:50Good eye in that spot.
00:39:51He should get a pretty good pitch to hit here
00:39:54with three-hole hitter coming up if he's walked.
00:40:01And the righty deals.
00:40:03And that's ball four.
00:40:07Just missed his spot on the inside right there.
00:40:12Andre Dawson digging in for the Nationals.
00:40:15Singled and scored back in the first.
00:40:17He's one for two.
00:40:27And he swings and misses, and it's nothing in one.
00:40:29Well, the hitter shows the pitcher that he's willing
00:40:32to go after that pitch down in the zone.
00:40:35So perhaps he'll come back to it,
00:40:37still try to get that ground ball double play.
00:40:41And the count off down the right side.
00:40:57Oh, now this one gets away at the plate.
00:41:00No movement.
00:41:01Now a ball and two strikes.
00:41:10Good pitch.
00:41:12And down on strikes.
00:41:14That's out number two.
00:41:16So he gets the call and picks up the strikeout looking.
00:41:19Sometimes with a good hitter at the plate,
00:41:21he'll be the one to get the benefit of the doubt
00:41:23if he lays off on a close pitch like that,
00:41:25but just not right there.
00:41:26Strike zone definitely expand a little bit with two strikes.
00:41:30Vladimir Guerrero digging in for the Nationals.
00:41:33One for two with an RBI double back in the first.
00:41:38Top ring misses the mark.
00:41:54And here it comes.
00:41:56Turned on but foul wide of third.
00:42:12Next pitch is downstairs.
00:42:25At the belt and fires to the right side.
00:42:29Lee takes it to the bag and that will end the inning.
00:42:33So one left for Washington.
00:42:35They're up to nothing.
00:42:47And welcome back.
00:42:48Now it's the right fielder, Gary Sheffield.
00:42:52These fans definitely want to get involved in the game.
00:42:55All it's going to take is to get the leadoff man
00:42:57or even a base runner on.
00:43:03The pitch.
00:43:07Not close with that one.
00:43:09Ball one.
00:43:12The pitch.
00:43:16And a foul ball.
00:43:30And that one fouled off.
00:43:39And now it's one and two.
00:43:43And a swing and a miss.
00:43:44Down on strikes.
00:43:46One gone here.
00:43:51Giancarlo Stanton at the plate.
00:43:54Well, on the mound, very efficient.
00:43:56Able to produce an outcome, it seems like,
00:43:58within the third or fourth pitch of just about every bat.
00:44:02Rolled softly but that goes foul.
00:44:09The Marlins still looking for their first hit in this one.
00:44:16Next offering is in for a strike.
00:44:18Giancarlo Stanton, certainly a physical presence.
00:44:21And Chris, one of the more imposing guys at the plate in the entire sport.
00:44:26He's a force.
00:44:27And I think it's scary for pitchers thinking about making a mistake to him
00:44:31because you know you're not going to get that baseball back.
00:44:34He hits the ball so hard, you don't even have to watch him swing.
00:44:38You can just close your eyes and listen
00:44:40and know exactly who it is that hit the ball.
00:44:43And there's two down.
00:44:50The first baseman, number 25, Derek.
00:44:54Two out, space is empty.
00:44:56And now the first baseman, Derek Lee.
00:44:59He struck out swinging at his first hit back.
00:45:07And he swings and misses at the initial offering.
00:45:13And a pitch.
00:45:17Strike two.
00:45:18Looking sharp, just a strike away from five shutout innings.
00:45:30Next offering is downstairs.
00:45:32Really good slider.
00:45:34He's up there just hoping that it ends up off the plate away.
00:45:46Here comes a pitch.
00:45:50And a ball evens the count.
00:45:56Two outs.
00:46:00And he grounds one to the right side.
00:46:03He writes it himself to the bag and that'll do it.
00:46:06So five perfect innings in the books.
00:46:09Five innings complete.
00:46:10It's the Nationals two and the Marlins nothing.
00:46:17Back here at the ballpark, top six.
00:46:19Up now for Washington, number 34.
00:46:23The right fielder, number 34, Bryce Harper.
00:46:32And a pitch.
00:46:35Ball one, no strikes.
00:46:41The wind of the pitch.
00:46:44Slapped foul.
00:46:56Ball one misses.
00:46:57Now two balls and a strike.
00:47:10And that's a strike.
00:47:11Good pitch to hit on a tee up in the zone.
00:47:14I think he was looking for something else right there.
00:47:24And that one is lifted in the air.
00:47:26Pierre settles underneath it.
00:47:29Brings it in.
00:47:30One down.
00:47:36Now batter, number 25.
00:47:41Number 25 digging in for the Nationals.
00:47:52First pitch and that's in for a strike.
00:47:58Kicks and deals.
00:48:01Ball one there.
00:48:18On the ground to third.
00:48:20He's got it cleanly, but plenty of time to recover.
00:48:23And that's the second out.
00:48:26Now batter, number 29.
00:48:32Two outs, base is empty.
00:48:34Here's the third baseman, number 29.
00:48:37And when you talk about elite defensive third baseman,
00:48:40this guy is at the top of the list.
00:48:45First pitch doesn't find the zone.
00:48:47Stud.
00:48:49You play that hot corner, got to be pretty courageous over there
00:48:52with the way balls come off the bat.
00:48:54That's the kind of guy that every year you expect to be in the all-star game.
00:48:58Ah, that ends the inning.
00:49:00So we take a break.
00:49:017, 8, 9, 2 up in the home half of the inning.
00:49:04It's the Nationals 2 and the Marlins nothing.
00:49:17Welcome back.
00:49:18JT, Real Mutual steps in.
00:49:21So what are the skills you look for that make a really good defensive
00:49:25third baseman that elite?
00:49:28One of the things I think about immediately are just the feet.
00:49:31Does he have good feet?
00:49:32Is he able to quickly react?
00:49:34And when you have good feet, you've got soft hands.
00:49:37And soft hand defenders are able to make tough plays look easy.
00:49:43On the ground to short.
00:49:47Fires across the diamond.
00:49:49Lead off man retired in the sixth.
00:49:54You've got to be kidding me.
00:49:55Did you see that throw?
00:49:57Not really, Boog.
00:49:58I mean, it happened in the blink of an eye it seemed,
00:50:00but thankfully StatCast is here to help us out.
00:50:03I mean, you don't see many throws across the infield
00:50:05that get up into the 90s.
00:50:07So he really reached back for that one, and he had to to get the out.
00:50:12Ramirez, the next up for the Marlins.
00:50:15It's a second, and it's first at bat.
00:50:18And that's in there for strike one.
00:50:36Comes up empty on the swing, 0-2 now.
00:50:39It really looks like these hitters have been in between with their timing today.
00:50:43Good fastball, excellent slider,
00:50:45but they've not been able to commit to one velocity and stay there.
00:50:49Oh, there's a three-pitch strikeout.
00:50:51He can do whatever he wants with the baseball right now.
00:50:53Up next for the Marlins, the left fielder, Cliff Floyd.
00:51:04Cliff Floyd, the next up for the Marlins.
00:51:12In there for strike one.
00:51:26Two down, nobody on.
00:51:30And it's one and one.
00:51:31Well, as good as things can be,
00:51:33it can be a tough day at the office even for the skippers,
00:51:36seeing the offense just sputter, not able to get anything going.
00:51:40Kicks and fires.
00:51:44Swings and misses, one and two.
00:51:57Well, this is a good time to step out of the box, take a deep breath, reset.
00:52:01A couple of change-ups, probably won't see another one here.
00:52:04But why the kick to pitch?
00:52:07And that one got a piece of him.
00:52:09He had two strikes on him, and he hit him.
00:52:12Boo, do you have any memorable hit-by-pitches yourself?
00:52:16Maybe high school, college?
00:52:18No, but I almost did get decapitated by a foul ball at Old Tiger Stadium.
00:52:27Pierre in the box with two gone, and takes a look at a called strike.
00:52:48Oh, one and one.
00:52:58The fish, hitless so far in the game.
00:53:06Next offering is in for a strike.
00:53:09Pretty rare location right there, right down the middle.
00:53:12This guy paints the edges.
00:53:14Not sure if you're going to see that pitch again as a hitter.
00:53:21Left-hand hitter waits.
00:53:24And that one lifted in the air, center field.
00:53:28Dawson makes the catch, and that'll do it.
00:53:31One left for Miami.
00:53:32They trail things here, 2-0.
00:53:42New pitcher for the Marlins, A.J. Burnett.
00:53:45It's his job to keep his team in the game.
00:53:48A.J. Burnett.
00:53:58New inning getting started.
00:53:59Stepping in, Gary Carter.
00:54:13The pitch.
00:54:16That one finds the zone.
00:54:18That's strike one.
00:54:19Burnett, known as a guy with pretty lights-out type stuff, racks up the strikeouts,
00:54:24but the command at times can elude him.
00:54:34Next pitch misses inside, and now it's even, one and one.
00:54:40Right-hander kicks, deals.
00:54:53And that one fouled off.
00:55:08Center field.
00:55:12Makes the catch for the out.
00:55:14Yeah, and a manager in a situation like this, this type of pitcher, has to stay alert and ready.
00:55:19He's got to make sure he's watching from pitch to pitch, hitter to hitter,
00:55:22to quickly get another reliever up in the bullpen if he needs to bring someone in.
00:55:26Number five, the next to hit.
00:55:34And that lack of command, that's usually one of the things that leads guys to be converted from starter to reliever.
00:55:40Yeah, and it's such a short stint when you compare the two roles, starting and relieving.
00:55:45You hope that guy can find strike one right away when he comes in.
00:56:03Next offering upstairs.
00:56:12Swing and a miss, and that's strike two.
00:56:17Comes a two-two.
00:56:22Swing and a line drive, base hit out of the center field.
00:56:25So that will bring up the top of the order with one away.
00:56:32Number 30, digging in for the Nationals.
00:56:40That one's in there all in one.
00:56:54Throw over to first, and he's back in there.
00:57:05Left-hand batter waits.
00:57:10Bullpen activity starting up now.
00:57:12Jontrell Willis appears to be warming for Don Mattingly.
00:57:25And a foul to one.
00:57:28And one fouled off.
00:57:38And a foul to two.
00:57:41Popped in the air, left side, and a foul ball.
00:57:56Offering his foul back.
00:58:09Got him.
00:58:10And there's two away.
00:58:13Well, classic pitch sequencing there to change eye levels for the punch out.
00:58:16That fastball on the pitch before was off.
00:58:18It was very competitive.
00:58:20And that gets you thinking that he might try to climb the ladder.
00:58:23But then the curve ball out of that same tunnel just falls off the table,
00:58:26and you can't make contact.
00:58:32Here's the shortstop at the play.
00:58:35Number four.
00:58:40In there in its own one.
00:58:56Right-handed reliever.
00:58:58Strike on the outside corner.
00:59:00The ball's two strikes.
00:59:10And he deals.
00:59:12Swearing and a miss.
00:59:14And that is that.
00:59:16I think the key is arm action on the changeup.
00:59:18When you can sell it like a fastball, you drop the velocity,
00:59:22you get the swing and miss, and you walk off the field.
00:59:25And welcome back.
00:59:36Now the number two hitter, number 11.
00:59:39You have the unwritten rules of baseball, right,
00:59:41that say you can't bunt right now.
00:59:44I guess you could look at it this way.
00:59:46If he does bunt for a base hit, breaks up the no-no,
00:59:48but he brings the tie and run to the plate.
00:59:50How about that?
00:59:51That is true.
00:59:52Misses inside.
00:59:53And that's ball one.
00:59:56And the righty deals.
01:00:02Tonight his slider has been really impressive.
01:00:04I mean, tight spin.
01:00:06Seems like the hitters aren't picking it up out of the hand.
01:00:18Next offering upstairs.
01:00:34Two and one now.
01:00:35Scherzer deals.
01:00:38Tapped softly on the ground.
01:00:40Whips it across.
01:00:42And one away in the bottom of the seven.
01:00:44Well, we're clearly at that point in this ball game
01:00:46with the no-no going,
01:00:47and we're anticipating seeing some history.
01:00:49Those infielders right now, they are on their toes,
01:00:52expecting the ball to be hit to them.
01:00:55Stepping in, the long ball threat, Miguel Cabrera.
01:01:04First pitch, and that's in for a strike.
01:01:06Well, they say it's the best pitch in baseball, strike one.
01:01:09You get ahead on a good hitter as well.
01:01:11Gives a little bit more confidence to move to the at bat.
01:01:16You're one.
01:01:20Looked like it was a little bit up.
01:01:22Looking to get something going.
01:01:23This is the guy you wanted to play.
01:01:25He's been great for this team.
01:01:26He is a professional hitter.
01:01:29And a pitch.
01:01:34So, a foul ball makes it one and two.
01:01:43And the right-hander deals.
01:01:47And now two and two.
01:01:49Two balls, two strikes.
01:02:02And a foul ball.
01:02:03He stays alive.
01:02:12Two-two now.
01:02:15Foul ball there.
01:02:20Two-two.
01:02:25The wind and the pitch.
01:02:29Stays alive.
01:02:40Here's a two-two.
01:02:44That one ripped.
01:02:45In there, base hit.
01:02:47And the bid for history is gone.
01:02:52Now the tag at second.
01:02:53And he's out, trying for two.
01:02:58The right fielder, number 10, Gary.
01:03:03Two outs, base is empty.
01:03:04Gary Sheffield getting ready to hit.
01:03:10First pitch, and he just misses.
01:03:18And a strike in there.
01:03:20Activity in the bullpen.
01:03:22A right-hander appears to be getting loose.
01:03:32Ball to strike.
01:03:36Ball two.
01:03:38Count is two and one.
01:03:40Ball to strike.
01:03:44Ball two.
01:03:46Count is two and one.
01:03:54Breaking ball through there for a strike.
01:03:56That hook's looking pretty sharp today.
01:03:58Just a solid pitching performance so far.
01:04:01And I really think it's because of that curveball.
01:04:04Next offering is fouled back.
01:04:11And the next pitch is way outside.
01:04:14At this point in the game, you cannot issue free passes.
01:04:17He's going to have to challenge this hitter.
01:04:19Hitter's got to be ready to swing it.
01:04:21The right-hander gives up the two-out walk.
01:04:24Well, it might be time to dig into that bullpen.
01:04:27He's looking a little fatigued to me.
01:04:29John Carlos standing to the plate now.
01:04:33The kick and the pitch.
01:04:35Runner goes.
01:04:37Strike in there.
01:04:39Going to second.
01:04:40Ow!
01:04:41And that will end the inning.
01:04:43Well, trying to get into scoring position,
01:04:45but a great catch and throw to end the inning.
01:04:48That's the way to pick up the pitcher.
01:04:51Ready to begin the eighth.
01:04:53Here's the center fielder, Andre Dawson.
01:04:56The center fielder, number eight.
01:04:59The right-hander back to work.
01:05:02Inside.
01:05:03Just missed.
01:05:05Meanwhile, activity on the right-hand side.
01:05:08The center fielder, number eight.
01:05:10The right-hander back to work.
01:05:12Inside.
01:05:13Just missed.
01:05:14Meanwhile, activity on the left-hand side.
01:05:17The center fielder, number eight.
01:05:19Meanwhile, activity in the bullpen.
01:05:21Number 63 appears to be warming for Don Mattingly.
01:05:30The pitch.
01:05:33There's a strike.
01:05:34He must have been looking for something else
01:05:36because he gave up on that pitch a little early.
01:05:38It was right down Main Street.
01:05:39Probably not going to see a better pitch to hit
01:05:41in this at-bat.
01:05:42Swings and misses.
01:05:44And that is strike two.
01:05:49And a weak ground ball to the left side.
01:05:52Tosses across to first.
01:05:54Lead-off man is out here in the eighth.
01:06:03Next is the designated hitter,
01:06:05Vladimir Guerrero.
01:06:07In there for strike one.
01:06:30The pitch.
01:06:34The pitch.
01:06:37Little chopper rolls foul.
01:06:50Next pitch is in the dirt.
01:06:52Now one and two.
01:06:59On the ground to the left.
01:07:03Whips it to first.
01:07:04And the laddie is set down.
01:07:14Next, a hit for the Nats.
01:07:15Number 34.
01:07:27And first offering is fouled off.
01:07:33And here it comes.
01:07:49And here it comes.
01:07:54And a foul ball.
01:07:55He stays alive.
01:08:04Next offering in the dirt.
01:08:05Ball one.
01:08:13Down and in.
01:08:14Moved his feet.
01:08:22Righty delivers.
01:08:25Foul ball.
01:08:34Next one in the dirt.
01:08:37Wow, this guy's really battling up there
01:08:39as if his run is the game-winning run.
01:08:42I love his tenacity.
01:08:45The wind of the pitch.
01:08:48Swing and a miss.
01:08:50And he struck him out.
01:08:52And good work there as he gets a one-two-three.
01:08:55Three up, three down for Washington.
01:08:57But they hold the two-nothing lead.
01:09:04Ready for the bottom of the eighth.
01:09:07Now it's going to be Giancarlo Stanton.
01:09:10Leading up, for the former, the designated hitter,
01:09:14Giancarlo Stanton.
01:09:23Scherzer back to work.
01:09:28Now a pop-up on the infield.
01:09:31Number 25 under it.
01:09:33And there's one down.
01:09:46And stepping in is the speedy Derek Lee.
01:09:57And there's a foul ball.
01:10:01The pitch.
01:10:07That one off the mark.
01:10:09One and one.
01:10:13And the pitch.
01:10:17To the left side, but it is well fouled.
01:10:21To the left side, but it is well fouled.
01:10:34And now the count is even.
01:10:40And the pitch.
01:10:44And there's a ball.
01:10:51And the pitch.
01:10:57Righty to the plate.
01:11:00And he walked him.
01:11:03Well, that'll bring the tie and run to the plate,
01:11:06so all eyes on the man coming to the dish right now.
01:11:09One down, runner at first.
01:11:12And now it is JT Real Mutual.
01:11:21Now these guys definitely looking for a big swing of the bat right here.
01:11:25Try to close that gap, but, you know, at the very least,
01:11:28if you could find a way to manufacture that run from first,
01:11:31it feels like it's really important to getting back into this ballgame.
01:11:36And the pitch.
01:11:40With two strikes.
01:11:42May see some movement over there at first base.
01:11:44Try to stay out of a double play here.
01:11:50And the pitch.
01:12:11Here's a tapper towards short.
01:12:14And Real Mutual is out.
01:12:21Real bad.
01:12:30Ramirez, now at the plate.
01:12:33Well, there's a reason why he's at the bottom of the order.
01:12:36Struggling as of late, but a knock here would be a huge lift for him
01:12:40and for his team.
01:12:44And the first pitch misses for ball one.
01:12:51And that one clips the corner.
01:13:02So now one and two.
01:13:04So far, all we've seen in this at bat are fastballs.
01:13:06Look for him to slow it down right here ahead in the count.
01:13:21The tying run at the plate stays alive.
01:13:40That one the other way, down the line, and it's fouled.
01:13:50Swing and a miss struck him out.
01:14:00So he's gotten deep into this game.
01:14:04And at least so far, not showing a ton of signs of fatigue.
01:14:08Well, this guy competes hard.
01:14:10We see the emotion there.
01:14:11I love it.
01:14:12Great job of getting out of the jam.
01:14:21Back here at the ballpark, all set to start the ninth in this one.
01:14:25And here's the first baseman, number 25.
01:14:28Number 25.
01:14:30Burdett, back to work.
01:14:33First pitch swinging.
01:14:35For a guy that's been swinging the bat, well, all game long,
01:14:38that was a pretty ugly swing right there.
01:14:40I'm sure he'll tighten it up on this next pitch.
01:14:45And he's down 0-2 as he swings the bat.
01:14:48And he's down 0-2 as he swings through it.
01:14:57That's down and in.
01:14:59One ball, two strikes.
01:15:03Kicks and deals.
01:15:06Swing and a miss.
01:15:08And he's down on strikes.
01:15:10And that's the first out.
01:15:11He came out of his mechanics there.
01:15:13Typically, he likes to shoot the ball the other way.
01:15:16I'm a little anxious.
01:15:24And here is number 29.
01:15:31First offering, misses the bar.
01:15:34The wind of the pitch.
01:15:37On the ground.
01:15:39And it goes just foul.
01:15:48Here's a 1-1.
01:15:51Just missed.
01:15:54And he's down 0-2.
01:15:57And he's down 0-2.
01:16:00Just missed.
01:16:10Next offering is way upstairs.
01:16:24Good plate appearance there.
01:16:26Able to take the walk.
01:16:28That's a questionable call in that spot.
01:16:30He even seemed a little surprised it went his way at the plate.
01:16:33But as a hitter, you'll take that all day.
01:16:36At the plate, Gary Carter for the fourth time tonight.
01:16:48First pitch, not close.
01:16:50Maybe losing command a little bit after the walk.
01:16:52Next pitch, not even close.
01:16:58And he's down 0-2.
01:17:20Kicks and fires.
01:17:23And a count 1 and 2.
01:17:28And a count 1 and 2.
01:17:37Lifted in the air, right field.
01:17:39Sheffield has this one sized up.
01:17:42And there's two down.
01:17:49Now batting, number 5.
01:17:58And now for Washington, number 5.
01:18:13Next pitch downstairs.
01:18:15And that is ball 1.
01:18:19Left hand batter waits.
01:18:22And a strike on the outside edge.
01:18:34Swings and misses and one down below the zone.
01:18:38Swings and misses and one down below the zone.
01:18:49Swing and a miss.
01:18:51And he got him.
01:18:52And that'll do it.
01:18:53And 9-1-2 scheduled to lead off the bottom of the ninth.
01:18:57It's the Nationals 2 and the Marlins nothing.
01:19:08Welcome back.
01:19:10Last chance for the home team.
01:19:12And now it's going to be Flip Floyd.
01:19:17The pitch.
01:19:21He's been so sharp today.
01:19:23Even over 100 pitches thrown.
01:19:25His skipper is leaving him in there to finish the job.
01:19:28And I know you want to be patient as a hitter.
01:19:31But you got to be ready to jump on the first thing straight.
01:19:34And he got one right there.
01:19:36But left the bat on his shoulder.
01:19:38Next pitch misses outside.
01:19:40One ball, one strike.
01:19:43And the righty deals.
01:19:47And now 2-1.
01:19:53The pitch.
01:19:59Expect for that guy to come right at you with a fastball.
01:20:02Something in the zone.
01:20:03Because he does not want to allow the leadoff ball.
01:20:06Left-hand hitter waits.
01:20:09And there's ball 4.
01:20:12Well, he's starting to look a little gassed to me.
01:20:15And we'll see if they go to the bullpen in this spot or not.
01:20:17Manager out of the dugout.
01:20:19And he's going to make a change.
01:20:21Max Scherzer is done.
01:20:22Just one hit allowed.
01:20:24He was excellent.
01:20:25And we'll have the new pitcher for you when we get back after a quick break.
01:20:33Here's a new pitcher from the pen.
01:20:35Number 41.
01:20:37Trying to protect this lead.
01:20:50And up next for Miami, Juan Pierre.
01:20:53If you don't get ahead in the count,
01:20:55you can forget about having any success against him.
01:21:03That one's in there, 0-1.
01:21:05This is one of those situations the infielders have to pre-plan
01:21:09and understand that the ball's going to be hit extremely hard right at them
01:21:12if they're going to have a chance to go for a double play.
01:21:25Now the 0-1.
01:21:33Rutter at first with no outs here.
01:21:41Next pitch off the play.
01:21:43And it's 1-2.
01:21:57At the belt and fires.
01:21:59That misses.
01:22:00Two balls, two strikes.
01:22:13Line drive.
01:22:15Base hit.
01:22:19Lead runner to second.
01:22:21So two on and nobody out.
01:22:24Anytime you rip a line drive the other way,
01:22:26you feel really good about what you did at the plate.
01:22:29You trusted your hands, you let the ball travel,
01:22:32and you took the ball straight to it.
01:22:34That's great work right there.
01:22:35Now a huge at-bat in this game coming up.
01:22:39And the batter now, number 11,
01:22:41trying to move the runners over.
01:22:44Off-balance throw in time.
01:22:46Runners advance on a good sack punt.
01:22:51Now batting, third baseman,
01:22:53Miguel Rivera.
01:23:00So up next, Miguel Cabrera.
01:23:03One for three.
01:23:06These fans, they are ready to cheer about something.
01:23:13And that's in there for strike one.
01:23:15I think ultimately you want to tie him up,
01:23:18get the ball in on the plate so that he can't get the barrel to it
01:23:21and hit it to the outfield.
01:23:23And the 0-1.
01:23:25Ground ball right side.
01:23:27Tosses to first, but they cut it to one as the run comes in.
01:23:31With a single base runner, because of all the power,
01:23:34they are dangerous to tie this thing up or take the lead.
01:23:41Big spot here, bottom of the ninth,
01:23:43down to their final out.
01:23:45And now for the Marlins, Gary Sheffield.
01:23:48Oh, how he'd love to walk it off right here.
01:23:58First offering misses badly for ball one.
01:24:03First strike.
01:24:27The tying run is 90 feet away.
01:24:33And he swings over the top there.
01:24:37It's amazing to me how many closers and back-end relievers
01:24:41just throw absolute gas these days.
01:24:44I never would have had a chance.
01:24:46Strike three, got him swinging.
01:24:48And this one is over with the tying run stranded just 90 feet away.
01:24:54It's always nice to grab the opener of the series.
01:24:57You come into a new ballpark,
01:24:59and sometimes things aren't as comfortable as what you've been used to.
01:25:02The mound doesn't look straight.
01:25:04The background isn't what you like.
01:25:06But they didn't let any of those things distract them.
01:25:08In fact, they looked like they were playing a home game.
01:25:10Excellent job to set the tone for this series.
01:25:30Run.
01:25:32Run.
01:25:34Run.
01:25:36Run.
01:25:38Run.
01:25:40Run.
01:25:42Run.
01:25:44Run.
01:25:46Run.
01:25:48Run.
01:25:50Run.
01:25:52Run.
01:25:54Run.
01:25:56Run.
01:25:58Run.
01:26:00Run.
01:26:02Run.
01:26:04Run.
01:26:06Run.
01:26:08Run.
01:26:10Run.
01:26:12Run.
01:26:14Run.
01:26:16Run.
01:26:18Run.
01:26:20Run.
01:26:22Run.
01:26:24Run.
01:26:27For the Marlins, one run on two hits.
01:26:30No errors.
