00:00Mourning those killed by violence in Pakistan, at least 73 people have died in attacks by
00:07separatist militants in the country's largest province.
00:10We had only one support, our father, who was earning money from the house, and it was very
00:16difficult for us to find out.
00:17A driver from here went there, he identified us, he gave us this information, then we found
00:22out.
00:23What is the problem in Quetta that when a Punjabi leaves, he does not come back to his
00:29home, but comes back with four shoulders.
00:31For us, this is a big day of mourning.
00:34What happened to my father, my mother, my siblings, I cannot tell you because I do not
00:41have the words to tell you.
00:43The Baloch Liberation Army, or BLA, claimed responsibility for the attacks, mostly targeting
00:48Punjabis, who make up the largest ethnic group in the country.
00:51The BLA say they want independence for the poor but resource-rich region, to prevent
00:56its exploitation by outsiders.
00:58They are opposing a series of China-led projects, such as a port and a golden copper mine, that
01:03form part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
01:06The country's Interior Minister says the government is working to coordinate a response
01:10to the militant group.
01:12The best thing for the country at this time is that whether it is the President, the Prime
01:16Minister, or the Army Chief, everyone is concerned about Balochistan and is looking and working
01:22towards a solution.
01:26Sunday's attacks also targeted bridges, highways and railways, which are essential to keeping
01:30the remote region connected with the rest of the country.
01:33But continued ethnic attacks may divide the region even more.
01:37If this continues, who will come to Balochistan?
01:40We won't be able to come.
01:42No one else will be able to come.
01:44Everyone has the same view that we won't come.
01:47This is the situation.
01:49We have been stuck here for two days.
01:51The situation is very bad.
01:53We should control it.
01:55We are very scared.
01:57We come here from Dadar.
01:59We are scared of the mountains.
02:01But we come together.
02:04We didn't know that this would happen.
02:07Now it has happened.
02:09What can we do?
02:10Now as the decades-long insurgency becomes more violent, people in Balochistan will bear
02:14the brunt of the consequences as the government works to restore order to the area.
