00:00It's increased my social ability and ability to communicate more,
00:05just, like, not being on my phone, head down,
00:09and actually, like, being active with people in my community and stuff.
00:13Cos we don't have our phones, we don't have to worry about any of it.
00:17We don't have to think about social media,
00:19or if anyone's texted, we can constantly focus on our schoolwork,
00:24making us more productive.
00:26I think the phone ban has improved my social life in a way.
00:31I'm spending more time talking with my friends
00:34instead of checking up on the socials or texting people who I'm not with
00:39and spending time with the people I am with at that moment.
00:43I think it's definitely improved my self-confidence
00:46and I've signed up for more activities
00:48that I never thought I would while being off my phone.
00:51Every morning, as we walk around the school,
00:53anyone that has a mobile phone is asked to put it away
00:56and if they don't put it away immediately,
00:59they have to bring it in and put it into a mobile phone locker.
01:03And it's really improved the school
01:05because students are actually present, they're engaged.
01:09When I'm teaching, I know that they're listening to me,
01:11they don't have AirPods in anymore,
01:14and it really has made teaching quite joyful again, I guess.
