Iconic LeBron James high school basketball jersey could fetch millions at auction  One of the most recognizable jerseys in sports history will soon hit the bidding block as LeBron James’ St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School jersey looks to fetch millions at auction in Hong Kong in September.  The jersey was worn by the NBA great during one of the most memorable Sports Illustrated front cover shoots, titled the “Chosen One.” Photographed by Michael LeBrecht, James can be seen wearing the number 23 jersey while palming the basketball.  The “Legends In Motion” lot will also include a trove of LeBron-related photographs along with items from Hollywood and Martial Arts icon Bruce Lee and other unique items. The auction bidding will take place on September 28. 00:44In the sports world, LeBron James is up there with the

00:46greats just like Marilyn is up there with the greats.

00:49And so, putting a price tag of 1 to 2 on something that

00:53essentially introduced LeBron to the world isn't unreasonable.

00:56When you look at other sports figures like Babe Ruth,

00:58his jersey just sold for $24 million.

01:01The one where he calls the shot, hits the home run.

01:04This is essentially setting LeBron up to score over

01:0840,000 points.

01:09This sets LeBron up to having all those MVPs,

01:12all those championships, all those gold medals.

01:14This is where it starts.

01:22LeBron started.

01:24He wore this jersey as a junior in high school,

01:26was photographed in it as a junior for Sports Illustrated.

01:29You know, this is when the world was like all eyes were on

01:33LeBron.

01:34He was just coming into the world and this kind of

01:36introduced him to the world as the chosen one.

01:38So, from here he'd go on to win all of those awards and all of

01:42those accolades.

01:43And this is really special because so much of who LeBron

01:46would become starts here.

01:48And so, kind of getting in at the front door with LeBron at

01:52this moment in time, it's quite a special piece.

02:05So, with this particular jersey,

02:07not only are we cementing LeBron as the chosen one while he

02:11wears this jersey, but this is also the fact that there's not

02:14really many, if any, out there that really highlight the

02:18special uniqueness that solidifies LeBron as a great,

02:22but also you catch him at the beginning, at the start.

02:25And so many of these guys were kids, right?

02:28They all started as kids.

02:29And so much of this is kind of frozen in time with this jersey.

02:34And so, you know, he lived up to the expectation.

02:37He set the expectation.

02:38And you see that with this jersey.

02:49I believe that LeBron, in 20 years,

02:53is going to have the same status.

02:55And he's going to be missed.

02:57It's like you don't really know what you miss until it's gone.

03:00And I think with LeBron, when it comes to these things,

03:03having a piece and owning that is really important.

03:05And the fact that he's been touching lives since before he

03:08was in the NBA, I think also helps keep values high and

03:13continue to keep values high.

03:15And I think also helps keep values high and continues to

03:18help them grow over time.
