00:00Hundreds of people gathered at the iconic KL Tower to celebrate Malaysian culture in an event aimed at fostering patriotism and national pride as part of this year's Merdeka celebrations.

00:16People of all ages participated in the festivities, with children, teenagers and adults huddled around each other playing traditional games such as Batu Seremban and Conggak.

00:28In addition to the games, the Kita Merdeka Usanita Malaysia Madani event, organised by Usanita Sindram Berhad, saw guests take part in activities such as batik painting and indulge in nostalgic snacks.

00:42Famed local singer Ella delivered a performance of her legendary hit, Standing in the Eyes of the World, prompting the audience to enthusiastically join in and wave the Jalur Gemilang.

00:53Guests, including former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Wanita Amno Chief Sharizat Jalil, embraced the patriotic spirit and sang along while waving the national flag.

01:06Usanita CEO Azlina Hassan explained that the event was meant to reignite a sense of patriotism, especially among the younger generation.
