Nearly half of motorists admit breaking the law whilst on the road

A new report has highlighted concerns regarding road safety.

00:20believing they won't get caught. This reflects a worrying attitude towards road safety. The

00:26research has shown that driver profiling, attitude and knowledge are critical components.

00:32A poor attitude leads to risky behaviours like speeding and tailgating and road rage which

00:39increases the chances of accidents. Lack of knowledge is equally troubling with many drivers

00:45unaware of basic road laws and safety practices. Addressing knowledge gaps can be straightforward

00:52with tools like the highway code and regular testing. However, changing attitudes requires

00:58more sustained effort such as ongoing training and promoting a culture of safe driving.
