00:00Percy's parcel. It was a beautiful day on the island of Sodor. The sun was shining in a bright blue sky, and all the engines were very excited. There was to be a special party. It was Dowager Hatt's birthday. The Fat Controller arrived at Tidmouth Sheds. He had a special for Thomas.
00:25Thomas, you are to collect passengers for the party from Brendan Docks.
00:30Thomas was excited.
00:32Yes, sir.
00:33Percy hoped that the Fat Controller had a special for him, but he didn't.
00:39Don't worry, Percy. I'm sure you'll have a special later.
00:44But Percy still felt sad. Mavis rolled by and stopped. She could see Percy was unhappy.
00:53What's wrong, Percy?
00:55I don't have a special. Everybody else does.
00:59Don't worry, Percy. I'm sure the Fat Controller will come back with a special special just for you. And when he does, be sure to tell me all about it.
01:09Just then, the Fat Controller did come back. Percy was surprised.
01:15Percy, you have the most important special of all. You must collect my mother's special birthday parcel from Brendan Docks. Then you must deliver it to the birthday party at Knapford Station.
01:28Percy beamed from buffer to buffer.
01:31Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.
01:33Percy was excited. Mavis had been right.
01:38Percy puffed into Brendan Docks. He gasped. The parcel was the most special parcel he had ever seen. Percy was so proud, his firebox fizzed.
01:51I must show Mavis straight away. She will be very proud of me.
01:55Thomas was at Brendan. He was pleased for his friend.

03:14At last, the dust cleared. Mavis, Rocky and Percy were covered in thick grey dust.
03:21And so was Percy's special special. Percy was upset.
03:27Bubbling boilers! Look at the birthday parcel. What am I going to do?
03:33Percy thought as hard as he could. At last, an idea flew into his funnel.
03:39I'll go to the washdown. My special special will be cleaned there as good as new.
03:44Percy, shouldn't you go straight to the party at Knapford?
03:48Percy didn't want to listen to Rocky.
03:51I'll go to Knapford station as soon as I've shown Mavis my special special. I still have plenty of time.
03:57So Percy steamed quickly away.
04:01Percy huffed and puffed to the washdown. James was already there having a polish.
04:09My, my, Percy. Whatever happened to you?
04:13Percy felt very silly.
04:15I'd like a very good wash, please.
04:18The workmen got straight to work. Water and soapy bubbles sprayed everywhere.
04:25Soon, Percy was gleaming green again. But his special special looked terrible.
04:33Bubbling boilers! The birthday parcel is wetter than wet. What am I going to do?
04:39Percy thought as quickly as he could. At last, another idea flew into his funnel.
04:45I'll take my special special to the Sodor Steamworks. Victor will help me.
04:50His hot air blowers will dry the birthday parcel.
04:53Percy, shouldn't you go straight to the party at Knapford?
04:57Percy didn't want to listen to James.
05:00I'll go to Knapford Station as soon as I've shown Mavis my special special. I'm sure I still have plenty of time.
05:07And Percy chuffed quickly away.
05:10Percy raced like the wind to the Steamworks.
05:15Percy looked for Victor at the Steamworks. He couldn't find him anywhere. But he did find a workman.
05:23I'd like to be dried as quickly as you can, please.
05:27The workman was happy to help. Hot air whooshed and whirred all over Percy and all over his special special.
05:37Soon, the workman had finished. Percy felt very pleased.
05:42Until he saw the birthday parcel.
05:45Wobbling wheels! It's all crinkled and crumpled. What am I going to do?
05:50Percy thought as hard as he could.
05:53But this time no ideas flew into his funnel at all.
05:57So Percy steamed sadly away.
06:00Percy clickety clacked slowly along the track.
06:04Now he didn't want to show Mavis his special special.
06:08He had spoiled Dowager Hat's birthday parcel.
06:11He couldn't go to the party at Knapford now.
06:14Percy didn't want anyone to see him, so he chuffed into a siding to hide.
06:20He felt terrible.
06:22Then he heard Mavis and Edward chuffed to the junction.
06:26Hello, Mavis. You look happy.
06:29I am. I've just picked up these brand new crates.
06:33Suddenly, Percy stopped feeling sad and he started to listen very carefully.
06:39Brand new crates?
06:41Victor had just delivered them to the steamworks.
06:44I've never pulled brand new crates before.
06:48Goodbye, Edward.
06:51A brand new crate is just what I need.
06:55Percy pumped his pistons and puffed away to the steamworks.
07:02Hello, Victor.
07:04Hello, my friend. How can I help you?
07:07I've just seen Mavis with brand new crates.
07:10May I have one, please?
07:12Well, what for?
07:14To put my birthday parcel in.
07:16Well, of course you can, Percy.
07:19That made Percy very happy.
07:22Thank you, Victor.
07:24Soon, a new bright red crate was sitting on Percy's flatbed.
07:29This will be the grandest parcel the Fat Controller's mother has ever been given.
07:34I must hurry now. Everyone will be waiting. Thank you, Victor.
07:38And Percy puffed proudly out of the steamworks.
07:42The Fat Controller and Dowager Hat were waiting at Knapford Station.
07:46The Fat Controller was cross.
07:48Then Percy puffed in.
07:50The brand new bright red birthday parcel looked wonderful.
07:55Everyone cheered.
07:57Happy birthday, Mum. Here's your very special birthday present.
08:02Dowager Hat beamed and even the Fat Controller smiled.
08:07As the workmen opened the crate, everyone wanted to see what the present was.
08:13Dowager Hat was most excited of all.
08:16Then everyone gasped.
08:19It was a beautiful portrait of Dowager Hat.
08:23Oh, my, Bertram. What a wonderful surprise.
08:27I'm very happy.
08:29Mwah!
08:32That's the most special special I've ever seen, Percy.
08:36Percy smiled from footplate to fender.
08:39He was sure he was the happiest engine of all.
