00:09you thought that the Tennessee Titans were going to have to move one of their quarterbacks
00:14out and it ends up being Malik Willis.
00:16Yeah.
00:17And look, what I find interesting is, and it's going to be fascinating.
00:22The Titans, yes.
00:23They moved Malik Willis.
00:24He had no chance to make it.
00:25I was with the Titans two weeks ago.
00:26It was already a fait accompli that Mason Rudolph was going to be the number two quarterback.
00:30My question would be is, could they find a home from Malik Willis?
00:33They did.
00:34They got a seventh-round pick to the Packers.
00:36Now, the Packers, what they did is they cleared out two quarterbacks, Sean Clifford, who was
00:41a Penn State quarterback.
00:42I met Sean at the Super Bowl at Radio Row where we were set up at SportsGrid.
00:46And Sean is going to, he cleared waivers.
00:49He's going to be in the practice squad.
00:50Now you have to remember, Malik Willis is kind of in a new offense here.
00:56Yes, Tennessee ran a Wesco scheme, so did the Packers, but he's got to learn it the
01:00way that they do it.
01:02And if the Packers are grooming Malik Willis to be their number two quarterback, this is
01:07going to take some time.
01:09He's got a lot of skill, though.
01:10He can run.
01:11He's got a big arm.
01:12He's kind of a smaller quarterback, not very accurate.
01:14But this is kind of a new look for their backup quarterback position there in Green Bay.
01:18I thought that was kind of one of the interesting trades.
01:20And then Ernest Jones, this is kind of a big deal this week.
01:24Ernest Jones made it clear he wanted an extension.
01:26The Rams could not reach a deal.
01:28And I just, I got the feeling that they didn't think it was going to work out for him there.
01:32And so they traded to the Titans who, they lost a rookie inside linebacker, Chance Campbell
01:38for the season doing a torn ACL.
01:41And talking to the Titans, man, when I was there training, they loved this kid, but he
01:44blew out his knee and he won't be able to play this season.
01:47And they were really light an inside backer.
01:49So they got Ernest Jones, who should wind up starting, or at least pushing for a starting
01:53job.
01:54So that helps them.
01:55And quite frankly, Mike, this Titans team, I'm not saying they're going to be like the
01:59Texans of last year, or the Jaguars of two years ago, where they came out of nowhere
02:03to make the playoffs.
02:04But Rand Carthon, you might remember his dad, Maurice Carthon, a former fullback for the
02:10Giants and Patriots, Carthon's done a phenomenal job in terms of addressing every possible
02:16need he could.
02:17You can't get every need done in one off season, but he addressed as many as he could.
02:22And this Titans roster is mentally upgraded.
02:24The roster was terrible last season, much better.
02:28They're a team that I like to go over their total.
02:30Their win total is six and a half, Mike.
02:31I actually like that.
02:32They're going to be better than people think.
