00:00The Ministry of Economy has decided not to give incentives for hybrid cars
00:10because the sales of hybrid cars are already good compared to the sales of electric cars.
00:16Despite this, the Ministry of Industry continues to push for this hybrid incentive.
00:20Minister of Industry Agus Kumiwang Kartasaswita stated that although the hybrid vehicle incentive is not as big as the electric car,
00:26it is hoped that the hybrid car factories in Indonesia will remain stable and will not choose to sell to other countries.
00:35Previously, the government has given various incentives to encourage people to switch to electric cars.
00:40The incentives given to electric cars are PPN-BM 0%, PPN 11% reduced by 10%, free import tax included,
00:49and other policies such as the free use of electric vehicles on the Ganjil-Genap highway.
00:56We want to have incentives, although the incentives cannot be as big as the electric car.
01:01Because of this, one of the reasons why we need to consider incentives for hybrid cars
01:10is that we do not want the hybrid car factories in Indonesia to be moved.
01:16This is the same case as when in the 1980s,
01:21we struggled to grow the semiconductor industry and they all moved to Malaysia.
01:27We also do not want other countries in ASEAN to have incentives that are quite interesting
01:34for the development of hybrid cars to be moved to other countries.
01:41That is what we do not want.
01:44We do not know.
01:46This is an answer. Do not ask about the incentives.
01:49But for us, incentives are necessary for hybrids because we do not want the factories to be moved
01:54because other countries give incentives.
