00:00We talk about Alabama. You know what it's like to be in Tuscaloosa. You know the pressure
00:09that can be on the Crimson Tide football program and that pressure on the uptick for Taylon
00:15DeBoer in his first year at the helm of the Tide, trying to fill the very large shoes
00:20of 17 years of excellence that Nick Saban left behind. What do you expect for your Alabama
00:26Crimson Tide in 2024? Well, you know, I expect Taylon, Coach DeBoer, to be the great leader
00:34that he is. And I expect Alabama to be Alabama. You know, it's just because Saban was there
00:38for 17 years. People forget that they were winning with Gene Solins before him. And then,
00:45you know, and the same thing would happen with Bear Bryant. They were going this in
00:49the 60s and the 70s. Six national championships in those two decades with Bear Bryant. We
00:55get six more with those two decades with Nick Saban. It just happens. But Alabama
01:00is going to still be Alabama. I think that Alabama hired a great coach because he knows
01:05how to win and he's the total opposite of Nick Saban. And it's because you don't want
01:10a coach to not be the leader of the program. And so you got to have somebody that's a little
01:14bit different from what they're used to, but still know how to win. So it's a great hire.
01:19You know, I tell people all the stories. You got Saban, who was no nonsense, no music
01:25at practice. You got DeBoer smiling. Music's blasting. They're running to death, you know.
01:32You got Coach Saban, four-letter words, which starts with love you. And you got Coach DeBoer,
01:36no four-letter words. You know, it's like, it's just, they're just defense and coordinator,
01:41offense and coordinator. You know, like, they're totally different, but they both knew how
01:45to win. And what's going to be similar, that Crimson Jersey, a support group that's going
01:50to love them to death and great recruiting. And so they're going to hold those two things
01:54similar, but they're going to win in a different kind of way. And I think it's going to be
01:58great for our university.
