The press asked Tony Labrusca if he also experienced being sexually harassed during his newbie stage in showbiz.   Tony dodged the question. He, however, claimed that he was wrongfully accused of being a sex offender. The accusation happened back in 2021. 00:00Whether or not that's happened to me...

00:05So what are your thoughts on that?

00:07Did you have that kind of experience when you were just starting?

00:10Sexual abuse?

00:12Harassment?

00:18No.

00:20Maybe.

00:23I think that, you know, like...

00:26I feel really blessed.

00:27I think God has, like, for the most part, protected me throughout my entire career.

00:32I truly believe that there's certain things that I had to go through

00:36so that I could learn to take care of my blessings.

00:39In terms of sexual abuse, harassment in our industry,

00:44I feel like it must be prevalent, like on both ends,

00:49where I'm sure there's a lot of actors who are willing to go through that

00:53to get a step higher in their career.

00:55And that's something that I completely respect.

00:58I'm sure like in any other industry,

01:01there are people who will take advantage of those kinds of situations.

01:05You know, like, we don't live in a perfect world.

01:08Things like that are bound to happen.

01:10Did you have that kind of experience when you were just starting in showbiz?

01:18Well, you know what?

01:21I'm still in showbiz now.

01:22I'm still getting amazing projects.

01:24So I think whether or not that's happened to me,

01:28it just doesn't matter.

01:30Honestly.

01:31I mean, like, we've got a great project.

01:33I'm not starting out anymore.

01:35So, yeah, I'm fine.

01:37I'm happy.

01:38I'm doing an amazing movie.

01:48Wait, let me clarify.

01:50In this industry, especially being a guy,

01:53and maybe my image,

01:57not really by choice,

01:59but I know that people want to see me take my clothes off.

02:04I think all of us have gone through some sort of,

02:07not necessarily sexual abuse,

02:12you knowing that people fantasize about you sexually.

02:16Maybe, yeah, being over-sexualized.

02:19And I think that our industry, let's just be honest,

02:22we need that.

02:30There's a market for it.

02:31There's a market for it.

02:32We glamorize it.

02:33Whether we want to admit it or not,

02:35that's what people want to see.

02:40I'm just saying that it's not that I've never been

02:42or ever felt like maybe I was over-sexualized

02:46or taken advantage of.

02:48What I mean is that I'm grateful

02:51because it's not affected me in a way

02:54where I'm not able to still do amazing projects.

02:57Me, here, as an actor,

03:00this is what's amazing.

03:01I'm doing an amazing movie,

03:02so it hasn't affected me

03:04maybe the way it has affected others.

03:07Actually, everybody wanted to believe my case

03:13when it was thrown on me,

03:15but when I won my case,

03:16no one cared anymore.

03:17Right.

03:18No one cared I was innocent.

03:20How did you overcome it when it was ongoing,

03:22when there was no result,

03:23when you weren't vindicated?

03:25When there was trauma.

03:26Yeah, so that was really traumatic.

03:28But honestly, that just brought me closer to God

03:30because, I mean, nobody else believed in me,

03:33so I guess it was just me and God at the time.

03:36But, for the record,

03:39I'm just asking,

03:40if you're fearful,

03:41you've really never experienced

03:43you've never experienced sexual harassment?

04:13And I'm grateful that I don't put that much weight on it

04:16because I'm still doing amazing projects.

04:19So, I know that there's some people out there

04:23that experience horrible things

04:25and they're not able to move forward in life.

04:27My point is,

04:28whether or not I've experienced that,

04:30it's not hindering me

04:31from being the best version of myself.

04:33It's not hindering me

04:35from becoming the best

04:37that I want to be of my capabilities.

04:39And that's why we have this amazing movie

04:41because whether or not something bad happened to me,

04:43I'm not going to let that slow me down.

04:45That was my point.

04:47So, you've never thought of quitting showbiz

04:51after all of what happened to you?

04:53You know what?

04:54I always just ask God,

04:56what is it that you want for me?

04:59And so, I guess until he stops giving me projects,

05:02then I guess I'm still meant to be here.

05:04Because, I mean,

05:06at this exact moment,

05:07I don't think I'm good at anything else except this.

05:10Or maybe I'm not even good at this,

05:12but just this is the only thing I can do.

05:14So, I don't know.

05:15I always pray about that.

05:16Like, God, what is it that you really want for me?

05:19And I guess he still wants me to be in showbiz.
