00:00We must face the facts. This was our worst ever election defeat.
00:07We lost millions of voters to reform. We lost a set of aspirational younger voters to the Lib Dems.
00:16And we lost a vital chunk of middle England to Labour.
00:21We lost to the left and to our right. We lost the young and the old.
00:25In the north, in the south, in Scotland and in Wales.
00:29It was an historic defeat. And one that if we don't learn from, we won't come back from.
00:37Such a comprehensive defeat must lead to a comprehensive rethink.
00:44To the building of something new. Something that is fit for this moment.
00:51A new Conservative Party. A party that regains the British people's confidence and trust.
01:01A party every Conservative, everyone in this hall and every Conservative member across our country can be proud to support once more.
