The SES details the number of incidents around the state as extreme winds and flooding damage properties and infrastructure in Tasmania.

00:00So we're seeing another wild night of weather across the state with extensive destruction,
00:05in particular in the north of the state this time and around the Greater Launceston area.
00:11SES responded to 347 requests for assistance last night and that's coming off a busy week
00:18that's seen around 760 requests for assistance since Tuesday with this prolonged weather event
00:24that we have been working through.
00:26The damage and destruction we saw last night was wind driven primarily, broken windows,
00:33broken brews, a lot of downed trees and there's a lot of debris out there
00:37so we do ask everyone to continue to remain safe.
00:40We're also monitoring minor and moderate flooding across the state,
00:48in particular the river systems in the north.
00:50There are currently 20 warnings that are in place with one emergency warning to evacuate
00:57which is in the Derwent River in around the Meadowbank area.
01:02We're continuing to monitor these conditions.
01:06Overnight we are expecting some damaging winds tonight.
01:11We're continuing to work through the assistance,
01:14so work through the requests for assistance that we have at the moment
01:18and our crews are doing an amazing job and continue to do so.
01:22They're obviously fairly fatigued at this point after several days of action
01:26and we're rotating those crews to make sure that they're looking after themselves.
01:31We ask the community to continue to monitor the alerts and the warnings
01:35on the TasAlert website or the TasAlert app
01:38to maintain awareness of what the conditions are around those.
