00:00Is it family-friendly? Yes and no. Whilst the animations are really beautifully done,
00:23I feel like the game might be a little hard for some people, the two bosses in
00:29particular, as well as some of the levels may prove difficult. Now I've never been
00:34a fan of subtitles and whilst a storybook that sets up the levels nicely
00:38looks fantastic, I really think there should be a narrator telling the story
00:43as well as having the subtitles, so then at least there is a choice, because if
00:49you're anything like me, you're just going to skip through the story and just
00:53look at the pictures. The colours in this game are beautiful and bright, the
00:58characters are very family-friendly looking and look great, a bit like
01:02Spongebob. I love some of the games in this, especially the rhythm type games, we
01:07were bashing things with a hammer to music, it's a nice way to break up the
01:11game and have a break from shooting. If I had to guess, I would say most people
01:16will enjoy those sections the best also. Not much in the way of weapons here,
01:21choice of three, enemies are colourful, they look friendly, though they're not.
01:25The controls are simple enough, shoot with one hand, load with the other hand,
01:30unless you upgrade your weapon and then you will need to hold on to it with two
01:34hands, otherwise the bullets will fly everywhere. Puzzles are not that
01:40complicated, sometimes you might even do it by accident, I'm not saying I might
01:45have accidentally solved the second puzzle by trying to do something else. The
01:50entire game is going to last you just over an hour and then you can replay
01:55missions to try beat your scores. I think this game is aimed at younger children
02:00and maybe people who are new to VR or people who enjoy shooters but are not
02:05particularly good at them. There is also an arcade machine in the shop area that
02:10has one game on it, it seems pretty pointless to me, I played it for 30
02:14seconds but wasn't that great, just feels like a side gimmick. I would have
02:21liked to have seen more things that you can shoot in the backgrounds for extra
02:25fun, maybe bonus targets that give you rapid fire for 10 seconds or huge
02:31bullets for 10 seconds and maybe some more minigames would have been fun. So
02:36anyway, on that, I score Sugar Mess 28 out of 35. You can find my scoring system
