Thousands of operators and volunteers are working to minimise disruption to locals as the race takes place in the city of almost three million people, with hotels reportedly fully booked.

00:53For the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, organisers have implemented new technologies and upgraded
01:00track infrastructure, enhancing safety and minimising disruptions for residents by reducing
01:07road closures and traffic congestions.
01:11It's a growing sport, it's expanding globally as well, so to be part of that, it's great
01:19for our country, it brings a lot of recognition, it brings in a lot of tourism as well.
01:26There's also a financial gain for the country and the citizens.
01:31Seating capacity has been increased by 35% to meet the demand for tickets and new stands
01:39have been added along the track.
