00:00Travis Kels calls brother Jason a psycho for the lies he told to avoid getting his kids a cat.

00:06That's sick, the Chief's tight end told his brother, upon hearing his latest excuse.

00:12Jason Kels will do anything to avoid getting his kids a cat,

00:16including straight up lie about the dangers of the domesticated animal.

00:20The recently retired football pro revealed to his brother, Travis Kels,

00:25on the latest episode of their podcast, New Heights,

00:29that his latest diversion tactic for the rest of his household's desire for a cat

00:34is to tell his three daughters, Wyatt, four, Elliot, three, and Bennett, 18 months,

00:41that the creatures are poisonous. Travis, naturally, was stunned,

00:46asking his brother why he'd tell them such a thing.

00:49So that they don't want cats, Jason replied, with a silent but heavily implied, obviously.

00:56And I don't have to deal with having a cat, he added, as though the

01:00solution of making his kids terrified of them was his most brilliant idea ever.

01:06That's sick, Travis chastised, but Jason brushed it off.

01:10It's whatever. They'll find out eventually, he replied, adding,

01:15I think lying to your kids is important.

01:18Travis disagreed, particularly in this regard, as he imagined any of his nieces.

01:24Going over to a friend's house and screaming bloody murder,

01:28because they see a cat. That's fine, Jason shrugged it off.

01:32That sounds like that person's house problem.

01:35You're a psycho, Travis declared through fits of laughter, muttering.

01:40This guy is ridiculous, under his breath.

01:43But Jason continued to dig the hole deeper, defending the tea.

01:47Needed to get these kids on my side, before he found himself in a sinking ship.

01:52His wife Kylie Kelsey's, of course, not on board with his method.

01:57As another proponent for the Kelsey's to become cat parents even,

02:01previously threatening to sneak home with cats.

02:04As payback for his shirtless championship, it takes leaving his girls in a position,

02:09where they don't know what to believe, as their mom has assured them,

02:13they're not poisonous. Your dad is lying to you.

02:16Meanwhile, Jason is trying to convince them that the government will come and

02:21confiscate any pet cats, because they're so lethal, that I mean.

02:26They can kill you, and they don't even have to bite you.

02:29Just them licking you, you feel their tongue, and it has little needles on it.

02:34Travis begged the question of why his brother has it out for cats so much,

02:38especially after growing up with one.

02:40I just don't want one, he whispered, but Travis pressed him until he said,

02:46I don't want another animal in the house.

02:48My dogs have already ruined the furniture.

02:51Plus, there's something about cats that I don't like,

02:54though he'd concede to having an outdoor cat in the future.

02:58Naturally, fans are now curious how Jason will course correct,

03:02when it comes time for his daughters to meet anti-tate aide Taylor Swift's cats.

03:07But it sounds like he's planning to just bask in the chaos as it comes,

03:12telling one fan on X that the moment is gonna be hilarious.
