00:06It was a busy time on the island of Sodor.
00:12The Sodor river bridge was being rebuilt.
00:17Thomas had been chosen to help the builders.
00:21He was very busy and very proud.
00:26Thomas was at the yards. He was excited.
00:30This is the last delivery, then the bridge will be finished.
00:35Thomas, you must be careful with these blocks.
00:39They were made especially for the bridge.

00:48And Thomas chuffed carefully out of the yard.
00:55Thomas had to stop at a signal.
01:03But when he applied his brakes, he heard a squeaking sound.

02:30He raced into an emergency siding and he hit the buffers with a big bump.
02:35More of the special blocks bounced off his flatbed down a steep bank.
02:41Now there was only one stack left.
02:44But Thomas still didn't notice.
02:47He was still worried about his squeaking brakes.
02:51Thomas set off once more very slowly for the bridge.
02:57Finally, Thomas saw the Sodor River bridge ahead.
03:02The builders were waiting.
03:04Hooray, I've made it. Here I come with the last special delivery.
03:08Thomas knew he had to slow down now, but he couldn't.
03:12Thomas' brakes had stopped working altogether.
03:16Fizzling fireboxes, what can I do?
03:21With a clang and a crash, Thomas clanked off the rails.
03:27His flatbed bashed his buffers with a bump.
03:31The last of the special blocks fell from his flatbed into the water.

06:43He stopped right beside Stanley.
06:47My brakes are fixed now.
