00:22the Cowboys season, linebacker Eric Kendricks in the GBAC Nation.
00:26Good afternoon, sir.
00:28How you doing?
00:29I'm doing good.
00:30How are you?
00:31Doing wonderful.
00:32Looking forward to this, you know, weekly conversation we're going to have through
00:35the season.
00:36Thanks so much for agreeing to it.
00:37I think this is the best mic that I've ever used, so I'm hearing myself loud and clear
00:41and I get used to this.
00:43You sound fantastic.
00:44Sounding good.
00:45How was practice?
00:46How was the meetings and everything?
00:47What's new?
00:48Practice was good.
00:49You know, I was a little sticky out today.
00:50Got some sweat in.
00:52Just went over the film, went over some two-minute stuff, and yeah, feeling good, feeling confident.
00:57So one of the big questions that you're equipped to answer probably better than anybody is
01:01what's it going to be like for a team transitioning into the Mike Zimmer defense?
01:06Are we ready to hit the ground running?
01:08Yeah, I mean, we got to be ready to hit the ground running.
01:10I feel like we got a lot of good work with our offense and, you know, various other offenses
01:14during camp, and now it's go time.
01:17So obviously, you know, we got a little bit more pressure on the line, but at the same
01:22time, you know, we know the looks we should be getting, essentially.
01:26You know, we're always going to get some unscouted licks in this first game, but, you know, looking
01:30to bring some pressure, looking to strap some people up, you know, cause some turnovers,
01:34cause some havoc, and get it going, get it rolling.
01:36How different is this version of the Zimmer scheme and defense compared to what it was
01:41when you were playing with him in Minnesota?
01:42It's definitely different.
01:43You know, there's different players on this team.
01:47One of the things I like is always, you know, we've always utilized the players that we
01:50do have.
01:51You know, the nucleus of the defense is definitely the same.
01:55You know, some of the coverage concepts and things like that are the same, but, you know,
01:59we have a lot more different, we have a lot more, you know, variety in our looks, especially,
02:04you know, with Micah and D-Law and those kind of guys up front.
02:09I'm looking forward to it because, you know, this is what we've been working on, you know,
02:14for the last month or so, so it's about time that season comes.
