00:00Irresponsible posts are spreading on social media, whether it's about a blogger or not, about the administration.

00:06And often, the freedom to speak or express an opinion is being abused.

00:11This is what Professor Antonio Contreras will discuss from his point of view, Professor.

00:24Good morning, Dian, and thank you very much to all of you in the studio.

00:30It's true that we have the freedom to speak.

00:33Freedom of speech is guaranteed in the Constitution.

00:38But still, many people are being abused here.

00:41Lately, malicious news has been spreading about what happened in Malacanang.

00:49And what's spreading here are lawyers and politicians.

00:56And we can see that this is clearly an abuse of the freedom to speak.

01:03No one is stopping us from speaking.

01:06But even though the court said that free speech is not absolute,

01:12when it's malicious, when it's not true,

01:16and especially when the country's security is being prioritized,

01:21because you're spreading information that could destabilize the country,

01:26like the relationship of the President's health,

01:31that something bad happened to him, or that you're undermining the authority,

01:37that he should be used to holding the state to be stable,

01:42if that's what you're targeting.

01:44You are now crossing a very thin line towards the commission of a crime.

01:51It's like this, you can't just shout that there's a fire in a movie theater.

01:57We have an absolute view that free speech is not absolute.

02:05So, everyone should be careful.

02:07Because this is a dangerous thing.

02:11We cannot abuse the right to speak.

02:14We cannot spread rumors that have no evidence.

02:20Because this will not only bring back the weak,

02:24it could also bring back the weak of the state.

02:29So that's my point of view.
