00:00Because of the unceasing rainfall, typhoons Enteng and Habagat,
00:06the water from Ipudam continues to be drained.
00:10It is recorded that the water level is 100.55 meters in Ipudam.
00:15It is not far from 101.00 meters of spilling level or above the possible flood level.
00:21One of the three gates of Ipudam was opened.
00:24The warning system in Ipudam is turned on
00:27and the residents of Norzacaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliwang, Pulilan and other places in Bulacan are alerted.
00:37There is another gate that is open at 0.15 meters.
00:42The water continues to be drained.
00:45But I want to emphasize that it is not only the releases from Ipudam
00:50that we are looking at that can cause the water to rise, but also the rains within the downstream areas.
00:58Bustos Dam also drains water up to 130 cubic meters per second.
01:04After opening its two gates, the water level in Bustos Dam reached 16.75 meters.
01:12While the spilling level is 17.35 meters,
01:16Residents living near the so-called irrigation, such as in Barangay T, Bagan, Bustos, Bulacan, are being warned.
01:22While the residents living in the lower part of the Tuliahan River are being threatened,
01:28such as Fairview, Quezon City and several places in Valenzuela and Malabon,
01:32the water level in the Lamesa Dam is still critical.
01:35The question is, will the water of the storm and flood still fall on the ground
01:40or will the water in the so-called dams possibly decrease?
01:44We are not yet discarding the possibility that it will happen because we are still here in the Southwest Monsoons.
01:52So we are still expecting rain within this watershed.
01:56That is why we are closely monitoring with these two dams.
01:59So if possible, before our rivers overflow, our local DRRMOs are giving advice.
02:08So if they can give advice, we will follow it.
02:13Albi Congressman Joey Salceda, who sleeps early at work,
02:19has already given hope that the storm will pass soon.
02:26We are monitoring 24 hours a day when there are inclement weather events like this.
02:35We want to let people know that we are not sleeping,
02:39and we want to let our countrymen know, especially those who are affected by floods, storms and calamities.
02:49Again, I just want to mention that as early as August 28,
02:53the hope of information has already been released,
02:57related to the possible formation of a tropical cyclone.
03:00The effects of the storm were proven.
03:022,000 customers of Meralko had no electricity.
03:06Some lines of electricity were affected in Cavite, Metro Manila and Rizal.
03:11Meralko is now working hard to return the supply of electricity.
03:15He asked for a dispenser because he needs to follow the safety protocol this rainy season.
03:20Kalei Zalpardilla for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
