00:24The country has gained recognition over the years as a content creation contender.
00:29Several Taiwanese production companies were in the running for awards, including Taiwan
00:33Plus, but it was Taiwan's Hakka TV that had the most nominations going into the ceremony
00:39with four.
00:40Hakka isn't the main or we say the mainstream language or culture here in Taiwan, but we
00:47made a lot of efforts to promote both the culture and our language because without Hakka
00:54Taiwan wouldn't be the same.
00:56So that's we think we may take some kind of opportunities like this to illustrate what
01:04makes Taiwan so different.
01:07Ceremony organizers lauded Taiwan's content creation at the awards.
01:11There's a pride in what you create and your own ideas and developing your own ideas.
01:15And I think that is a real superpower and not layered on top of freedom of speech and
01:22democracy, gender equality.
01:24The Content Asia Awards have been held annually since 2020.
01:32The first editions were held virtually until last year when a physical ceremony debuted
01:36in Bangkok.
01:38Taipei is the second city to ever host the award ceremony.
01:42Everyone wants to come here.
01:43Look how many people came.
01:45They used the Content Asia Summit.
01:47They wanted an excuse to come.
01:50And so they came.
01:51Now they've seen it.
01:53With the fifth edition of the awards now over, Taiwan has staked its claim as a content hub
01:58in Asia.
02:00And with a diverse culture to draw from, the future of Taiwan's entertainment industry
02:05has the potential to grow even stronger.
