00:03The LGBT community is here to take part in the Pride Parade.
00:09The Pride Parade is being held today on September 6th
00:12because on September 6th the Supreme Court
00:14passed a law to ban homosexuality in the country.
00:18The law, Article 377, which prohibited homosexuality,
00:24was passed and ended Article 377.
00:27We have a set of demands and rules.
00:29Starting with a safe campus is our main demand
00:32where all the students can feel safe.
00:35All the gender neutral washrooms are another demand.
00:40There are no proper washroom facilities in Delhi University and campuses.
00:43So this is another demand.
00:45And there are many more demands like establishing queer collectives,
00:48making a gender neutral ICC,
00:51proper elections in the ICC,
00:54students' electives.
00:55So these are a few of the many demands.
00:57Sakhi, I study in Jamia and I am a queer student.
