00:00It's certainly not been the best of seasons here at AMT heading for Leeds Rhinos but it's
00:06ended on something of a high with a 68-6 thrashing of an admittedly woeful Hull FC team. That
00:14gives Leeds a chance of finishing in the top six. They've got two tough away games to come
00:20though at Wigan Warriors and Hull KR, the top two, so it's going to be still a very
00:26difficult task but Leeds are building something here at the moment. They're improving steadily
00:32as the floodlights just go off as I'm talking. They're improving steadily under coach Brad
00:37Arthur and today a lot went right against, as I say, very poor opposition. It's hard
00:42to tell just how good the performance was bearing in mind the way Hull played. They're
00:49second from bottom of the table battling with London Broncos to avoid the Woodlands boom
00:53but that said, Leeds were lucky to beat London in their previous game and this was a much
00:58more professional job, led in the try-scoring stakes anyway by youngster Alfie Edgel who
01:06scored four tries. Considering he's a full-back, not a specialist winger, a terrific effort
01:10from him and he's one for the future. Fantastic from Rhys Martin, a goal-kicking masterclass,
01:1513 from 13, equaled the club record of goals in a Super League game set by Yestin Harris
01:22in 1999 and it was a good performance all round. Very impressive, James Bentley off
01:27the bench again. He's been playing as a replacement middle since he came back from injury and
01:34he's been very good. He's scored two tries today. He's keeping his discipline, playing
01:38really well but this performance will give Leeds some confidence going into two much
01:43tougher games. I don't think they'll be getting too carried away with it but it is three successive
01:49wins for the first time in more than a year so that's something they can build on and
01:55something to give them a bit of confidence. There's still a long way to go but I do think
01:58Leeds are heading in the right direction and hopefully the next time we're back here, next
02:04season, things will be a little bit better.
