00:00There are estimated 2.3 billion Christians, 1.9 billion Muslims, 1.2 billion Hindus, 50
00:08million Jews and there are estimated 4500 religions like these.
00:14But which one is the true religion and is there even a need for a religion at all?
00:19A few months ago, after asking a lot of questions and doing a lot of research, I made my decision.
00:25As a blond European man of 22 years old, I found Islam as my true religion.
00:31And I'm not the only one.
00:34Islam for the past few decades has been the fastest growing religion in the world.
00:38But why?
00:40Is Islam the true religion and can we prove it?
00:44I mean, there are so many religions, so many different gods, so many beliefs.
00:49What is the true religion?
00:50In this video, we are about to find out.
00:52All my life, I've been asking myself questions like, who am I?
00:56What happens after I die?
00:58What is the purpose of this life?
01:00Something in me said that there had to be more to life, a deeper meaning, a purpose.
01:05There has to be more than just the few years we spend on this earth.
01:09So I started doing research and looking for more answers.
01:13But how do you even start researching and looking into 4500 religions and philosophical
01:19beliefs?
01:20That's impossible, right?
01:21I mean, you can't look into them one by one.
01:23So I had to use logical reasoning and a process of elimination to filter them and find out
01:28if there is a true religion at all.
01:30In this process, I asked myself a lot of questions like, does God exist and can we prove it?
01:36What is the purpose of human existence?
01:38Is there a need for a religion at all?
01:40Is there a holy book?
01:41And what is the evidence that supports these claims of a holy book?
01:45Now, let's move through this process together and use the filtering process of elimination
01:50by asking questions about the fundamental parts of a religion or a philosophical belief.
01:55The first question I asked myself was, is there a God and can we prove it?
02:00A question that people have been asking themselves throughout history.
02:04There are many ways to answer this question, but what I did was observing the universe
02:08around us, something we can all see with our own eyes.
02:11I mean, what I really realized is sometimes we take it for granted and we accept everything
02:16around us, what we see, without realizing how unique and special it is.
02:20I've always been so impressed by the scale of the universe, the stars, the planets, but
02:25also the simple things on this earth, like trees, water, animals.
02:31Sometimes I just couldn't sleep when I was thinking about the scale and the complexity
02:34of the universe around us.
02:36And then I started asking myself, like, is this complex and immense big universe a proof
02:41of a higher power, creator?
02:43Or is the universe just the way it is?
02:46But then, why is it the way it is?
02:49Alright, let's look at it from a logical perspective.
02:51According to physics, everything in the universe is based on cause and effect, meaning if there
02:57is work that has been done, there must be a force in place that is able to do that work.
03:03Nothing happens without a reason.
03:05Or simply said, every act has a doer.
03:07For example, a tree producing fruits, a bee producing honey or a cow producing milk.
03:13Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and many other famous scientists and philosophers asserted
03:18that we live in a world governed by law, not chance.
03:23Philosopher Plato stated that everything happens for a reason, whether or not we know what
03:28it is.
03:29He said that every effect has a specific cause.
03:33Everything that becomes or changes must do so owning to some cause.
03:38I mean, sounds logical, right?
03:40But we see the tree as the doer of producing fruits.
03:43The bee as the doer of producing honey.
03:45And the cow as the doer of the act of producing milk.
03:48But the cow doesn't even know what he is making.
03:51He doesn't know the amino acids in the milk.
03:53Nor does he know how many proteins, vitamins, minerals need to be in there.
03:58It just happens after he is born.
04:01What is the real intelligence behind this creation what we observe?
04:04I mean, the universe is perfect.
04:06There are no flaws in it.
04:08Every plant, every tree, every animal.
04:11Everything has its own purpose and is serving something.
04:14And nowadays science discovers and proves that there was a beginning to this universe.
04:19But I mean, how big are the chances of a random Big Bang turning into a universe with such
04:25perfection and natural laws?
04:27With water, beautiful trees, all kinds of animals, all kinds of fruit.
04:32I mean, the last time I lit up a firework, it didn't turn into a perfect universe.
04:37Even if the Big Bang theory happened like science speculates, there must be an intelligent
04:42force, something behind this perfect creation, right?
04:46Or something that simulated the Big Bang.
04:49For me, this is more than enough proof for a creator, a higher power, whatever you call
04:54him.
04:55So when I was using the filter on my first question, religions such as Buddhism, Jainism
05:00and philosophical beliefs such as atheism, agnosticism, naturalism and skepticism are
05:06eliminated.
05:07Because there must be a creator.
05:09And by the way, we as humans can observe the creation, but the creator is unseen.
05:15We can see the intelligence behind it, we can see it, we can touch it, we can smell
05:19it.
05:20But there's nothing tangible in this universe that has the intelligence and the power to
05:23create everything that we see.
05:25So that eliminates religions like Shintoism, Taoism and other religions that worship or
05:31believe in tangible objects and idols.
05:34By asking all these questions, once I realized that there must be an intelligent force behind
05:39this creation, a god, I started wondering if there is a need for a religion.
05:43So when looking at the universe again, everything around us, with such beauty and perfection,
05:49plants, trees, oceans, animals and humans with millions and millions of different cells,
05:55don't you think that the creator understands his creation best?
06:00Everything is created with purpose.
06:01I mean, when you buy a laptop, it comes with a manual, right?
06:05The manufacturer explains what they developed and how to use it in the best way.
06:09Even the simplest products have this.
06:12So if even small and simple products have a manual, don't you think that the creator
06:17of mankind didn't send a manual that could guide them?
06:20I mean, throughout history, people have been asking themselves who am I, where did I come
06:25from, where am I going to, what happens after I die, what is my purpose in this life.
06:30And we humans need principles, discipline and guidelines in life.
06:34Without that, we are lost in randomness and following meaningless desires.
06:38I mean, have you ever realized that we humans are the only animals that have a real conscious
06:44mind, free will?
06:45A cow is just eating grass all day and a bee is flying around from flower to flower.
06:51Everything in the universe does what it's supposed to do and is serving something, except
06:56us humans.
06:57We are laying in bed, watching Netflix all day.
07:00We are cutting down whole jungles to use the wood for our industrial productions.
07:04We are fighting wars over politics.
07:06We humans are the one messing with nature.
07:09Without humans on this planet, life would just be…
07:13We humans have a free will.
07:14We have to choose between good and bad.
07:17Every single day.
07:18Life is just a huge test.
07:20Even if you believe there is no God.
07:21Even if you believe religion doesn't make sense.
07:24At least all of us should agree that life is constantly testing us.
07:28And what's funny is that most people are then using this statement as an argument by
07:32saying, oh yes, but if God exists, why is there so much evil and hardship in this world?
07:38And this is very interesting.
07:40Because in my opinion, this is a big misconception of God.
07:43And it reminds me of a story that someone told me a little while ago.
07:47It's about a religious man going to the barber.
07:49And the barber says, I don't believe in God.
07:51So the religious man remains quiet and waits for a few seconds.
07:55And then he says, I don't believe in barbers.
07:57Then the barber asks, why is that?
08:00Then the religious man points to the man across the street and says, do you see that man over
08:04there with messy and long hair?
08:07If barbers existed, that man would walk around with a fresh haircut.
08:11The barber laughs and says, of course we exist, but he just doesn't come to us.
08:16And then finally the religious man replies and says, exactly, God does exist, but people
08:21just don't come to him for guidance.
08:24And I completely agree.
08:26This is how God teaches us, with hardship and free will.
08:29If everything goes well all the time, without any hardship, do you think we would really
08:34learn something, get stronger, or have empathy and good personality at all?
08:38Whatever you call it, we humans need disciplines, principles and guidelines in this life, in
08:44order to grow and build towards something.
08:47Without them, we are just lust, and walk around with not a messy hairstyle, but with
08:52a messy life, without purpose and true meaning.
08:55Religion simply means the way of life, a universal way that explains how we humans should live,
09:00treat one another, create purpose, meaning, etc.
09:04And we can try to figure out ourselves what works best in life, of course, but then what
09:09you're actually saying is that when you buy a laptop, you want it without the manual,
09:13and you want to write the manual yourself, and figure out how it works.
09:17Without even understanding what it's made of, which software it uses, and which part
09:22it's built of.
09:23You will just be guessing what's right and wrong.
09:25And everyone will write down something different, and probably would disagree on many aspects.
09:30And you see this happening in life as well.
09:33So many different opinions, so many different things.
09:36And a religion provides global principles, disciplines and guidelines, a strong community
09:41that understands each other.
09:43It's also why governments create laws, with consequences as well.
09:47Because people will misbehave without them.
09:49I mean, how great would this world function if everyone would just agree what's right
09:54and wrong, and what's good or bad.
09:56So, using pure logical reasoning, I started to understand the importance of religion and
10:01having a manual for life, a holy book.
10:04So with this second filter and question, we eliminate religions like Pantheism, Nihilism
10:10and many other religions since they don't have a clear book and a clear manual for the
10:15way of life.
10:16And then the final question I was left with was, what is the actual proof of a holy scripture?
10:22What evidence and reasoning supports the religion's claims?
10:25If God gives us a manual, how would he do that?
10:28And how can we prove that it's correct, and not written by humans?
10:32I think first, we must realize that by understanding and learning something new, something complex
10:37and difficult, we need a teacher that helps us to do that.
10:41We humans need examples and teachers in life that can tell us what to do and how to live.
10:46Even when you have a book that explains and shows everything, completely understanding
10:50it yourself by just reading it can be hard sometimes.
10:53Just like a book of math in school or other subjects, you need a teacher in the classroom
10:58that explains how to use it and how to understand it correctly.
11:02And then I found out that some religions consist of a prophethood, which explains that throughout
11:07history there always have been religious leaders, teachers and exemplars with very
11:11strong evidence and unique stories.
11:14But this was new for me, so when I looked it up, it said that prophets are regarded
11:18as chosen individuals who receive revelation from a higher power, such as God, and are
11:23tasked with conveying these messages to humanity.
11:28Prophets serve as moral exemplars, social reformers and sources of wisdom.
11:33I mean, this sounds very logical, but then again, what is the proof and evidence of these
11:38prophets?
11:39And who are they?
11:41But first, before we move on, I want to say that when I was applying these filters and
11:45questions on all of the 4500 religions, I ended up with 3 religions that were left.
11:51Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
11:54They all have the concept of a creator, a holy book and a prophethood.
11:59And before I'll dive deeper into these last three, I have to say, the fact that these
12:03religions pass the criteria means that these religions are based on the truth.
12:08I mean, when looking at Judaism, their main figure, their main prophet is Moses.
12:13And in Christianity, their main figure is Jesus, peace be upon them both.
12:17And in Islam, the main figure and final messenger is Prophet Muhammad.
12:22And what a lot of people don't know, and what I had to realize as well, is that these
12:27three religions are fundamentally the same.
12:30They are based on the same history and believe in the same prophets.
12:33But then what makes them different from each other?
12:35Let's look at these last three religions one by one to make the final decision.
12:40The problem I had with Judaism is that it's a racial religion.
12:44They believe that they are the chosen people of God.
12:47Even if you want to become a Jew, it's a difficult process and you always remain a
12:52second class Jew.
12:54And then Christianity is man worshiping in essence.
12:57They worship Jesus as the son of God, which is illogical and has no clear evidence in
13:02my opinion.
13:03And I have a Christian background, like many other European people have, still the biggest
13:08religion.
13:09But I never really felt connected with this way of worshiping and the construction of
13:13this religion.
13:14The pictures of Jesus of a man and asking him for forgiveness, I mean, Jesus came with
13:19a very clear and good message and explains a beautiful way of life.
13:23But worshiping him as a human with arms, hands and legs didn't felt right.
13:29And besides that, Christianity has no clear boundaries anymore.
13:32It has lost a lot of its values.
13:34They are divided into a lot of denominations, movements and sects and have multiple updated
13:39versions of their holy book, the Bible.
13:41Matthew, John, Paul, you have a lot of versions of the Bible.
13:45And I know a lot of Christians that only want to go to specific churches because they don't
13:49feel connected to the people or the teachings and the way of worshiping in other churches.
13:55And this is just a small summary of the most important flaws that I found in Judaism and
13:59Christianity.
14:00But for me, these ones were already enough to see that it's not perfect and that it can't
14:05be the ultimate religion for mankind.
14:07So then I passed all religions and the only religion that was left out of 4,500 different
14:13religions was Islam.
14:15I don't know, that felt very weird because I had a really different picture from Islam
14:20than I have nowadays.
14:21But it was the last one left, so I started looking into it.
14:25And by just observing this religion in more detail, I was so impressed by their discipline
14:30and character.
14:31They believe in one all-powerful God.
14:34They believe that we are born with a clean soul and have to learn from the trials of
14:37life.
14:38They believe in a holy book that has no flaws in it.
14:41They believe in clear evidence and have a very strong story.
14:44They believe in structure and discipline.
14:46They believe in Prophet Muhammad and see him as the perfect example for how to live, how
14:52to treat yourself and others.
14:54And they believe in a religion that is for all mankind.
14:58Everyone has the same rights and must be treated the same.
15:01Rich, poor, old, young, black, white, it doesn't matter.
15:06It was just so beautiful.
15:08Literally every question I asked, I received a very clear and logical answer.
15:13I just couldn't find any flaws in this religion.
15:15It was actually the opposite.
15:16It was perfection I found.
15:18But of course, important to say is that no one is perfect.
15:22A popular quote in this religion is Islam is perfect, but not the people.
15:27We make mistakes, but God doesn't make mistakes.
15:30And this is very true.
15:31I promise you, when you research Islam and read the story of Muhammad, there's no way
15:36around it.
15:37But wait, wait, wait, let's give it some more context.
15:40How could a religion that is just 1400 years old be the true religion for mankind?
15:45What is very interesting is that Islam tells us that it has existed from the very first
15:50human being ever lived on this planet.
15:52We know it from the story of Adam and Eve.
15:55Islam tells us that prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad
16:01peace be upon them all, came with one message to believe in one God and be good to others.
16:07But unfortunately, by time, the messages of Moses and Jesus became corrupted.
16:12And that explains why you can find a lot of these flaws in these other religions nowadays.
16:17So even though Muhammad peace be upon him brought its final message 1400 years ago,
16:23in fact, Islam is the oldest religion of mankind.
16:26And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Qur'an in Surah Al-Mu'idah, verse 3,
16:31Today I have perfected and finalized your religion for you.
16:35So in the beginning, I wouldn't believe it.
16:38But after a while of intense research and asking a lot of critical questions, I ended
16:44up with Islam as my only true religion.
16:47Because it is based upon knowledge and logic.
16:49It goes hand in hand with science.
16:51It is a religion for all mankind.
16:53It has no flaws.
16:54It is fundamentally a very simple religion.
16:57It's a way of life.
16:58It creates good personality.
17:00It creates strong brotherhood and family bonds.
17:03It has clear boundaries.
17:04It creates discipline and structure in life.
17:07And most importantly, it creates peace of mind and a real purpose in this life.
17:11And this was my story on how I found Islam as my true religion.
