Pope Francis arrived on Monday (Sept 9) in Timor Leste, a predominantly Catholic nation in Southeast Asia, for a three-day visit that will include an open-air celebration of mass the Vatican says may include more than half the population of 1.3 million.

00:12The 87-year-old head of the Catholic Church is the second pope since 1989 to visit Timor-Leste,
00:18which is a predominantly Catholic nation.
00:21He was flown in from Papua New Guinea, where he delivered medical supplies as part of 12-day
00:25visit to four countries, which is his longest overseas trip yet.
00:30He was in Indonesia from September 3 to 6 before departing for Papua New Guinea.
00:35Organizers in Timor-Leste said the mass with the pope will be held in the Tacitolu area
00:40on Tuesday.
