A woman and her 7-year-old daughter were among three people killed in an accident involving three vehicles at KM34 of Jalan Maran-Bandar Jengka Monday (Sept 9) morning.

Videos shared on social media showed one of the vehicles on fire.

00:19Mohamad Zaber said preliminary investigations revealed that the crash occurred when an MPV
00:25heading from Bandar Jengka to Bandar Maran collided with another MPV that had swerved
00:30into the opposite lane.
00:32A car heading towards Bandar Maran was unable to avoid hitting the second MPV.
00:37The 42-year-old female driver of the first MPV and a 13-year-old passenger in the second
00:43MPV died on the spot.
00:46The woman's daughter was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at a clinic in Jengka.
00:52DSP Mohamad Zamri said the second MPV driver, aged 28, and his two passengers, both aged
00:5913, sustained injuries to their legs, head and face, while the 34-year-old car driver
01:05suffered minor injuries.
01:08They were taken to hospital for further treatment.
01:11The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act
01:161987 for causing death due to reckless or dangerous driving.
