00:00Monday Night Football in Santa Clara. In what a game it is to end out week number one. Monday
00:10night to start a season for the New York Jets in year two for Aaron Rodgers. Does it bring
00:16back some very bad memories from the Monday night opener at MetLife last year for the
00:22New York Jets? Of course, just four offensive snaps for Aaron Rodgers and then the Achilles
00:28injury that would sideline Rodgers for his first year in New York for the entirety of
00:34it. They are hoping for better as Aaron Rodgers returns home to Northern California. The San
00:39Francisco 49ers, three and a half point favorite at home inside Levi's Stadium with a total
00:45of 43 and a half. What a game this is, DRS, to end out week number one. So many narratives,
00:52so many storylines. We will have some reactions to this, of course, on a Tuesday. You and
00:58the Pro Football Today gang will be live throughout on NFL in-game live game day reacting
01:05to it all. What do you expect for tonight on this Monday in Northern California? There's
01:12a lot, a lot of question marks. How about that to expect? The reason I say that is we've
01:17watched a lot of sloppy football in week number one. We're also taking a look at a quarterback
01:20that hasn't had a lot of football on the field since getting injured last September and a
01:25lot of high expectations on both sides. If you're looking from a San Francisco perspective,
01:31love the fact that they signed their all-world left tackle, got him back into camp, but he
01:34did miss all camp. We'll see if that plays out. Also, you do have Brandon Ike, who Kyle
01:39Shanning's already said he's going to be on a pitch count on Monday night. It would be
01:42great if he practiced all the way through and wasn't on a pitch count because he's one
01:46of the better wide receivers in the NFL. But both of these teams, I got to be honest, I
01:50do think it comes down to that line. It's important. It opened up at the famed sports
01:54book in the offseason. Once we knew the, you know, teams were playing each other six
01:58and a half, it got as low as three and a half, which still currently sits at the fan blue
02:01sports book bounces four and a half, three and a half fours. We'll see what it gets to
02:05a game time. A lot of other outlets right now showing at four, but fan, they'll keeping
02:09that at three and a half, a total of 43 and a half. It seems like these numbers are right
02:14because if you say they're two electric offenses, once they can get going, because you take
02:18a look at the Jets offense this year from last year, will you insert Aaron Rogers back
02:21in it? You add another capable wide receiver. Your tailback should be even better improved
02:27coming off an injury from the year previous. And then you take a look at San Francisco
02:30and say to yourself, yeah, well, that offense is built ready, made to go. Kyle Shanahan.
02:34Everybody's in position and that's 43 and a half sticks out. Why? Because those defenses
02:38are so, so good on both sides. But I want to buck that trend. I think we get more offense
02:43than that. We talk about 55, 60 points. No, but I would be very surprised, Ben, if both
02:48of these football teams don't reach at least 20 points, which again, puts you in that ballpark
02:54of 43 and a half. I'm hoping we get a clean performance out of both sides, but I got to
02:59tell you, those points are talking to me tonight with the New York Jets. I bought into the
03:04Jets about three, four weeks ago, realizing I don't know how talented the Buffalo Bills
03:08are going to be quite frank. They look bad yesterday. Thank goodness. They got bailed
03:11out with a terrible against a terrible Arizona team and picked up that victory. The New England
03:16Patriots. Yes, they want a football game and sort of the Miami Dolphins, but I still
03:19do think the New York Jets are the best team in the AFC East, but this game is going to
03:23go a long way to letting me know that almost seems like a referendum for the Jets week.
03:28Number one on the road.
