00:00One of the big problems in this world is that we humans measure ourselves to evaluate which life is worth it and which is not, and I just can't do that.
00:17If they get into trouble, which unfortunately happens very often due to human behavior, then no one will help them.
00:32I rescue animals, especially wild animals, because they are creatures that very few people care about.
00:46And in the area that I cover now, so these animal rescue missions, there are really deficits.
00:53So that's why I sometimes drive very long distances, because there is no one in many areas who is committed to this, especially for wild animals.
01:10I think I have this instinct to help from my mother. So she really has such a vein that she wants to help all people and I think that's where it comes from.
01:20Among other things, I worked for a large animal rights organization for five years and set up a research team there.
01:27We covered scandals together in the team, so really scandals that were nationwide and partly also beyond Germany.
01:36We really covered up situations that you think don't exist in Germany at all or maybe have never even existed.
01:43I have no idea how brutal the human being is towards animals.
02:14I got you.
02:17I got you.
02:20Come here.
02:44I have definitely given up my financial security for the animal rescue call.
02:50I really have to fight every month. So that means I fight every month to be able to finance my own life.
02:56In the meantime, the animal rescue call has grown from a private one-man project to a non-profit organization.
03:01And we get donations from people we help, who call us.
03:06There is always one on the device.
03:07Of course there are people who ask, why are you doing this for a chicken?
03:10Because I know exactly that I have helped this one animal, that I have saved this one animal's life and that I have changed everything for this one animal.
03:21If I have an animal rescue mission today and can successfully complete it, then it gives me the strength for the next mission, because I know exactly that I have helped this one animal.
