00:25Let's take a stroll down memory lane

00:28and see what happened in the cheapest way

00:33that can only be found here in Manila.

00:36Let's travel in TP-N-TRIPS.

00:39From Monumento, we took a train to UN-AV station.

00:43It's only P25.

00:45Going down to UN, it's a P13 jeepney that traveled to Baclaran

00:50and went down to Calau-AV.

00:52You won't have a hard time because the permanent gallery is right in front of you

00:58in the National Library.

01:03Our permanent gallery contains various collections

01:07that are cared for by the PNL or the National Library

01:11such as manuscripts, books, periodicals,

01:15and various written parts of the PNL collection.

01:19All of these need to be taken care of.

01:21But one of the most important is the crown jewel of the Philippines,

01:25not only of the Philippines, but also of the National Library of the Philippines.

01:28Those are the original manuscripts of Dr. Roseres Ay.

01:32Dolimitangere, El Filibusterismo, and Ultimo Adios.

01:36And also the newly donated Murillo-Villardi map or the 1734 Philippine map

01:41that we used to get the arbitrary decision

01:45on the territories of the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea

01:48that was donated by Mr. Mel Villardi.

01:50Aside from the well-known manuscripts written by Dr. Roseres Ay,

01:53we can also see in the gallery some facsimiles or copies of the writings

01:59of Emilio Acinto and Andres Bonifacio in 1987,

02:04the Constitution of Biak na Bato,

02:08the Declaration of Independence in June 12, 1898,

02:12and the original copy of the Marcha Nacional Filipina

02:16or what we know today as Dupang Kilirang.

02:20For our fellow Filipinos who are burned out from school, work,

02:24want to go on vacation, or want to look for a job here in Manila,

02:29the Permanent Gallery of the National Library of the Philippines is here.

02:33We can now refresh ourselves by studying the history of the Philippines

02:36and we can see the written heritage of the Philippines

02:40that is being taken care of by the National Library of the Philippines.
