00:00Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro condemned the seizure of a Venezuelan
00:04government's plane by the United States in complicity with the Dominican
00:07Republic administration. The Bolivarian leader informed he talked with the
00:12Dominican Republic's president Luis Abinader to return the plane to
00:16Venezuela after what he described as a robbery by the United States and the
00:20Dominican Republic governments. Maduro also sentenced that the people of the
00:24Dominican Republic will settle their accounts with its president whom he
00:28called a thief. Who responds to the interest of the United States in
00:31paralysm?
00:40I am very much looking forward to tonight's debate. I am almost going there.
00:45Otherwise they would have stolen my plane in the Dominican Republic. I would
00:49have gone there. They left me without a plane. The thief of the president of the
00:53Dominican Republic, Abinader, who is a bandit, a thief, the people of the
00:58Dominican Republic will give him his bill in due time. Do not give me your
01:02little face if I did not go. I talked to him enough. Many times we talked. Many
01:06times. Face to face. So I cannot go to the debate.
01:15Venezuelan head of state celebrated that former President Donald Trump has
01:18acknowledged that the sanctions imposed on the country were a big mistake for
01:22the U.S. economy.
01:28But Donald Trump has recognized that the sanctions are a mistake, that they
01:33weaken the currency, the dollar, they weaken the economy of the United States.
01:42The sanctions against Venezuela were a shot in the foot that the United States
01:47gave itself. The times of imperialism, threats, blockade and sanctions are over.
01:58They cannot return to Venezuela, nor to any country in Latin America and the
02:03Caribbean.
02:08We were able to face the 930 sanctions. We were able to neutralize them, and
02:13Venezuela is already on the upswing. And nothing and no one is going to stop us
02:18in terms of economy.
02:22In Venezuela, the World Antifascist Congress is being held from September
02:2710th to 11th, a conference that gathers more than 200 delegates from 95
02:31countries around the world in support of the fight against imperialism,
02:35colonialism and fascism. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the
02:39event by expressing his firm commitment to combat fascism and highlighting the
02:44importance of implementing laws that protect the population from this type of
02:48dangerous ideologies. Precisely in this regard, the president applauded the
02:53initiative of the National Assembly to debate an antifascist law. The Congress
02:57is an important space for debate and reflection to continue strengthening the
03:02fight against the extremists' ideology and provides a chance to join efforts at
03:07the international level in the defense of democratic and humanitarian values.
03:16Precisely to kick off the World Antifascist Congress, the Venezuelan
03:20Vice President, Dulce RodrĂguez, held an inaugural conference on fascism,
03:24neofascism and similar expressions in the national and global context. In the
03:28presence of representatives from more than 95 countries, RodrĂguez recalled the
03:32nation's historical fight against fascism as the Venezuelan people have
03:36faced coup d'etat attempts, economic blockades and coercive measures led by
03:41right-wing fascists and backed by foreign imperialist powers. Furthermore,
03:46RodrĂguez highlighted that the latest of these attempts occurred during the
03:50July 28th elections, when the far-right tried to delegitimize the victory in the
03:55polls of President Nicolás Maduro.
04:01So, fascism is not new, a new phenomenon. It was experienced on the people of the
04:10south in the dictatorships. We have met with fascism, we have suffered fascism
04:18and we know that the Venezuelan people have been facing actions which we have
04:28to admire because we have to face coup d'etat, assassination attempts,
04:35imperialist invasions, economic wars, economic blockades and most
04:45recently, some of you were here for the electoral process on July 28th. The plan
04:53was already set. We have mentioned that it was happening, it was
05:03about to happen, because we know that they wouldn't recognize the
05:10victory of President Nicolás Maduro. And so, because when we ratified the
05:20victory of President Nicolás Maduro, we ratified our peace, our sovereignty.
05:26Also, during the inaugural conference of the World Anti-Fascist Congress,
05:31Venezuelan Vice President Delsi RodrĂguez asked for a round of applause for the
05:35resilience of the Palestinian people in the fight against fascism.
05:38I know that Venezuela, as well as Venezuela, is confronting an expression of far-right
05:49and fascism. I am aware that in other regions of the world there have been similar situations,
05:57symbolic situations, full of deep reflection. And I would like to ask a minute of applause
06:07for the Palestinian people, which is the expression, the most outstanding expression
06:15of resilient people in front of fascism, a people that never surrenders. The Palestinian
06:23people inspires the struggles of humanity. And how, in front of us, the coup-mongering media
06:36outlets promote and boost violence, death, hate, to an extent that we, as human beings,
06:45don't understand, because as it had happened in all countries of the world, are raising their
06:59voices for defending the injustices on the Palestinian people. Long live Palestine,
07:09and thank you very much, brothers and sisters.
07:13Also, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge RodrĂguez, offered statements during
07:19the World Anti-Fascist Congress being held in Caracas, the capital, from September 10th
07:24to 11th. During his remarks, RodrĂguez referred to the psychological war Venezuela has been
07:29subjected to in the past weeks, and assured fascism is a political expression of the crisis
07:34suffered by capitalism, and it is manifested today in social media and in a space that
07:39allows the spread of hatred with the complicity of Western powers, who are the owners of the
07:44biggest technological and media emporiums. Fear and repression are two fundamental characteristics
07:50of the working class living under neo-fascist policies, a reality that Venezuela is fighting
07:55against, for it never to settle in the country, despite the ultra-right's attempts.
08:00The Republic of Abyssinia on Tuesday sent a letter to the Republic of Nicaragua on the
08:09occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
08:14The letter was sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Asian country, in which it
08:20emphasizes that September 10th 2009 is a truly significant date in the modern history of the
08:26Republic of Abyssinia. It further notes that the establishment of diplomatic relations between
08:31the Republic of Abyssinia and the Republic of Nicaragua on that day was a pledge of the
08:37development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two peoples and states. The letter
08:42also emphasized that the Republic of Abyssinia is ready to contribute in every possible way to
08:48the further development of the whole complex of mutually beneficial and strategic partnership
08:53of inter-state cooperation for the benefit of its brotherly peoples.
