00:44Actually, since I got married with my wife,

00:48we became an endeavor to serve, to give back all the blessings that we have been receiving.

00:58And it just so happened that we had a lot of floods, a lot of epidemics.

01:05So, my wife and I believe that we deserve the right to give back all the blessings that we have been receiving.

01:16I'm from Quintana Roo, we always get flooded.

01:18I'm from Antipolo, sir.

01:21He's always trapped there, so you should go to his subdivision.

01:42What's the story behind it? What's your inspiration for this song?

01:47Actually, Akai is a romanticized song asking forgiveness in a rock melody.

01:55So, that's it.

01:56I gave back a lot of things when I made Akai.

01:59I gave back my being a samba rocker.

02:02Because I started off as a band, actually.

02:04And our music was a bit hard rock.

02:08When I went solo, I did a bit of lilo.

02:11Then, I digged out my emotional songs.

02:17And it so happened that this Akai is one of the songs I made recently

02:22that fits the theme of being a solo artist.

02:25And, yeah, just to say, let's go back to being a Filipino samba rocker.

02:32But can you imagine, what does Akai mean?

02:36Akai.

02:38And then, it's about forgiveness.

02:42What's the connection?

02:44It's also based on the lyrics.

02:46Akain mo ko, pabalik sa iyong puso.

02:49Ibalik ang araw at sandali, ang sayang dinunod mo.

02:52Actually, it can be a religious song.

02:55Yes, it can be a religious song.

02:56It can be a love song.

02:57It can be like going back to the love that you lost.

03:01Or yung nakagalit mo.

03:03As simple as that.

03:04So, yung Akai, it's a very universal song for everybody.

03:07At nabanggit mo rin, you dig up yung sa emotions, yung mga past experiences mo.

03:12I wanna know, being a singer, paano ba yung creative process pag nagsusulat ka?

03:18Like, habang nagsusulat ka ba, nagiging emotional ka rin ba?

03:22Pasentabi sa akanya, Mrs. Ano, iniisip mo ba yung mga ex mo nun?

03:26Talaga, ano nilapas mo yan?

03:32Ayan, kahit karap yung sinesis ngayon.

03:35Keeping aside, yung paggawa ko po ng awitin, it's actually based on the melody

03:41that I get whenever I strum a guitar.

03:44So, parang nagkakaroon ka burst of inspiration ng melody.

03:48Tapos kasama din dun yung pagiging in love ko, as always.

03:51Tapos minsan, kapag hindi natin may iwasan na, nagkakaroon tayo ng away.

03:57Which explains the song Luha.

03:59The song that I sang a while ago.

04:01So, yung Luha na is asking forgiveness and parang ayaw mo na siyang saktan or something like that.

04:07And itong Akay naman is like another song asking forgiveness.

04:12Parang ibalik mo ko sa iyong puso.

04:14Okay.

04:15So, pag mainitang ulo sa kanya ng kanyang mesis, pwede niyang kantahan lang, no?
