00:00Gentlemen, you'll see the instructions in the dressing room, expect a good clean fight,
00:07protect yourselves at all times, obey my commands at all times, touch them up.
00:14Very big height advantage for Tommy Hyde as you can't help but notice during that little
00:18stare down between referee Ricky Gonzales, of course, Hyde coming in at 6 foot 4, Noah
00:23Kidd 5 foot 9, that's 7 full inches, so that's going to be something that Noah Kidd is going
00:28to have to contend with, and of course, with Tommy Hyde, we'll have to make that adjustment
00:31as we get ready to go with round number 1.
00:35Again Michael Parente and Sukor Ray Oliveira bringing you all the action.
00:39So our first glimpse of Tommy Hyde, I have yet to see him fight.
00:43Wide stance, very wide stance for someone that tall, either he has tremendous power
00:49in there, we'll still learn as we go.
00:52Yeah, Noah Kidd coming in swinging, nothing to lose.
01:02And again Noah Kidd has been in there 19 times in his pro career at the age of 29, he's got
01:07a lot of experience, coming off a win in March against Brandon Bowe, second time he's beaten
01:13Bowe in his last 3 fights, so they had a little rivalry going back in Missouri.
01:18He's seen everything, let's see what the confidence here, of seeing what the governor
01:23has to give you.
01:26Feeling out process for both guys, this one of course scheduled for a 6, 8 rather, I apologize.
01:32Always wanted to call someone the governor.
01:36And now you've had that opportunity, and by the way, worth mentioning that the Boston
01:47Butchers of Team Combat were in action tonight, and they pulled out a come from behind win,
01:51226-225, they were down 5 points in the money rounds, and ended up winning the last 4, including
01:59a knockout by female sensation Amelia Moore, who has been a superstar, and of course, guess
02:04who calls it out, Rashidi Ellis, winning the last round to bring home the victory for the
02:09Butchers who are now 3-1-1, they return home by the way, on June 26th, I will be in the
02:15booth, bringing you that action, a take on the New York Enforcers, so that should be
02:20a real good one, but again, congrats to the Butchers, a lot of the faces that you've seen
02:25here on this broadcast are now down there fighting for the Butchers as well, so, splitting
02:29a lot of time between the two, absolutely.
02:32One minute to go in this first round, seems like both guys are really trying to get used
02:36to each other's style, which I would say, both are a little bit awkward, kid very unorthodox.
02:44Hyde has a beautiful jab, it's stiff, fast, and hard.
02:48There it is.
02:52It's tough against a guy like Noah Kidd, who's very elusive, he's got kind of an awkward
02:56style, comes in from different angles, so Hyde's trying to find that timing.
03:01He's finding it, he's definitely finding it, that stiff jab, I see him timing it for the
03:06second round, drop that right hand over the top, as he just did right there, right before
03:12And again, we talked about the pacing with a six round fight, even more so with an eight,
03:16where you don't have to come out guns blazing right away, if something's there, obviously
03:20you take the opportunity as Hyde plans nicely, yeah.
03:25Caught Kidd coming on the way in, there goes Kidd, nice right hand by Kidd.
03:32There goes the bell, Noah Kidd fighting hard, he's coming in and he's not afraid against
03:35his taller opponent, I give him a lot of credit, seven inch height disadvantage for him, and
03:40he is forwarding his way in at times, he's landed a couple of nice shots, but again Tommy
03:44Hyde using that distance as you see here in these replays.
03:48I see right here, he got long range with his legs, but he's sitting on those punches, that
03:55jab is snapping him, he's coming over the top of that right hand, slamming it, but Noah
04:01is definitely staying on to that body and coming back up top with that top right hand.
04:06Tommy Hyde was a three time Ireland national champion as an amateur before making his pro
04:10debut in 2022, and his first fight since March, had a few months off, he came off a big knockout
04:16win over 10-1-1 Craig McCarthy, so Hyde, like many prospects, climbing that ladder slowly,
04:23only 25 years of age, and already has eight fights on his resume, so he's been pretty
04:29busy in making that steady pace, and with the father as a pro boxing manager who has
04:35that experience building fighters, I think it obviously bodes well for him.
04:38Round two underway, here comes Noah Kidd again, charging hard, Noah Kidd is firing at Tommy
04:48Hyde right now.
04:49He's going to get caught with that tall right hand that Hyde got there, if he takes one
04:53step back, don't blow your load out, that's how people fight all the time, you come out
04:59with a load, don't blow it all out, better be in the gym training.
05:09I always wonder too Ray, sometimes if a fighter who's letting it go that early, maybe doesn't
05:13think he has enough to go eight rounds, and perhaps it's just taking an opportunity, this
05:19is my gas tank, maybe I empty it right here, and if it gets past that, we'll see what happens,
05:24and I think you're 100% right, because right now he's breathing through his mouth.
05:29There he goes, I think that was a slip, and yes, Ricky Gonzalez called it correctly, Hyde
05:34kind of pushed him on the way down.
05:41Just under two minutes to go here in round two, once again you're watching Tommy Hyde
05:44in the weight trunk, sticking on Noah Kidd in the blue, Hyde leaning nicely to the body.
05:50He do just what Hyde wanted to do, tie himself up, and Hyde just walking with that jab, work
05:55that body, come back with that left hook, or right hand over the top.
05:58Yeah, I think you're right Ray, I think he just had to weather that brief storm, and
06:01then get back to what he was doing best in round one.
06:06Beautiful right hook to the body, right off that jab, as always, right to the body.
06:12And Tommy Hyde working massively to the body, then he goes back upstairs, and Noah Kidd's
06:17in a little bit of trouble here, he's having a hard time defending some of these shots.
06:22And for a guy with a 7-inch height advantage, he's working the body beautifully, I know
06:26with Kidd.
06:27Definitely working that body, I like how he's working that body, and then he's stepping
06:30back around him.
06:31Kidd may be on the way out here Ray, he looks a little wobbly, and he still has 58 seconds
06:37of body shot.
06:38Another right hook to the body, another right hook to the body.
06:42I'm not sure what's keeping Kidd up at this point.
06:45The body shots are keeping him up.
06:47Oh, again to the body.
06:49Right on the belt line.
06:54Tommy Hyde putting in some work in the second half of this second round.
06:57Those left hooks are tremendous.
07:00And Kidd's still standing there.
07:02He blinds him with a jab, then he dips onto his left side with that left hook to the body.
07:06You can see Kidd's embracing for him.
07:11He's almost sort of crunching his body to defend.
07:14What a right uppercut.
07:17Final 15 seconds here.
07:20Tommy Hyde is punishing Noah Kidd here in round two.
07:29And then with that body shot, oh, right and left hooks to the body.
07:33I'll tell you what, if Kidd can go weight, it may be a modern miracle.
07:36Two rounds in the books, this one's been good so far.
07:39Don't go anywhere, stay with us on Swerve Combat TV.
07:44Swerve Combat TV

08:29Welcome back to Mohegan Sun Arena.
08:33Michael Parenti, Sucre, Ray Oliveira bringing you all the action from Championship Jackpot
08:38presented by CES Boxing, the premier promotion in the Northeast.
08:43And right now you're watching Tommy Hyde, super middleweight, taking on Noah Kidd.
08:47Hyde in the white trunks and Kidd in the blue.
08:49It's been all Tommy Hyde.
08:51Noah Kidd, Ray, came out in round two with a flurry for about 25 seconds.
08:55He, I think, emptied the gas tank and then Tommy Hyde just poured it on.
08:58But I still like how Kidd is, he's still coming forward.
09:01He's not stopping, he's coming forward, he's coming to fight.
09:04That was a good left hand by Kidd.
09:06And so maybe Noah Kidd has found his second or third win here in round three.
09:10I don't think he found the win, I think he just came to try.
09:14Listen, 19 pro fights, only 29 years old, and it shows you something.
09:19It shows you some durability, the ability to go deep into fights and just keep on coming forward.
09:24And that's what Noah Kidd's doing tonight. That's what he's done his whole career.
09:28It's a great opportunity and a great test for Tommy Hyde.
09:32Because you're fighting someone who, you know, on paper you feel you should beat,
09:35but on paper can also beat you.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Who has beaten others and who has been in there, like we mentioned,
09:40against Sergio Martinez and Vito Melnicki.
09:43Left hook to the body, one, two, three.
09:45And you can tell, Ray, those body shots are taking the wind out of Noah Kidd.
09:49He's definitely taking the deep breath every time he gets hit in that body.
09:54And I love how Kidd, the governor, is just patiently, he's not rushing in.
10:00Working that jab, popping it, popping it, right hand, left hook to the body.
10:04And he's taking angles on him.
10:06I think you're right.
10:07I think Tommy Hyde feels that the stoppage will eventually come
10:10if he continues with his pace and no need to get too crazy.
10:14Ricky Gonzalez is definitely waiting here.
10:16Just give me a sign, Kidd, and I'll stop it for you.
10:21118 to go. Hyde still working that jab.
10:24One, two, down the middle. One, two, down the middle.
10:27And you mentioned, Ray, those body shots continue to just pour it on.
10:30There it goes. Two more to the body.
10:32The Kidd now fighting his way off the ropes.
10:34He definitely came back swinging.
10:37Kidd is almost like a wounded animal.
10:39You think he's dead, but he comes right back.
10:41He leaps up at you.
10:44He finds that little spurt, you know.
10:46He's not holding. He's throwing.
10:5640 seconds to go in round three.
10:59If anything, this one's been super entertaining as Hyde goes to the body again.
11:04Oh!
11:06Oh! Devastating left hooks here.
11:08Body and head.
11:11The way you know when Kidd sort of hunches over,
11:13I think he's going down every single time, but he's just...
11:15No, he just keeps coming forward.
11:17Keeps coming forward.
11:18And not just coming forward, but throwing punches.
11:20I think he had it now, but...
11:22And down goes Kidd.
11:24I'm not sure if they're going to call that.
11:25Nope, that's going to be a slip.
11:27You could argue that Kidd is just physically exhausted at this point.
11:31I don't know. Maybe he kind of took a chance to throw himself down
11:35and maybe just get a breather.
11:37I mean, hey, listen, he's savvy enough to do it.
11:39Three rounds of the books, it's been all Tommy Hyde.
11:42No Kidd hanging in there.
11:43Ray, if you're Tommy Hyde, I guess the best advice is just keep doing what you're doing.
11:47Yeah, like I said earlier, you know, I ain't being a broken record,
11:50but keep doing what you're doing.
11:52It ain't broke, don't fix it.
11:54It's what Kidd got to do.
11:55You can see right here.
11:58The governor just jabbing, right uppercuts, body shots, hooks to the head,
12:03but here comes Hyde.
12:06Kidd, I mean, straightforward throwing punches.
12:09But again, it goes right back to the governor again, just pounding him.
12:14It wasn't a push.
12:16He just wanted to go down like you said, I believe, get a rest.
12:19I think so too.
12:20I mean, he was in a position where he really couldn't do anything there,
12:22so why not just drop down?
12:24If they call it a knockdown, they call it a knockdown.
12:26Give me a rest.
12:27Sure.
12:28Take a little rest and a little breather and get your wind back.
12:31But it does seem like in this fight the pattern you've seen from Noah Kidd is
12:35every 40 seconds or so he's got that spurt.
12:37Yes.
12:38It's almost like a video game character recharging his energy.
12:41Those are the dangerous guys because you think you got them,
12:44then right away they come back with a spurt.
12:47So we're going to get a little brief stoppage here as they check out Noah Kidd in the corner.
12:53Reconcile is doing the right thing.
12:54You know, he's been hit with some tremendous punches into the body and head.
12:59So let's get a check and ask the referee.
13:02But as a pro, in a pro fight he got, he said, I'm good here.
13:05Yeah.
13:06I mean, I'm sure Kidd's been down this road before, 19 pro fights.
13:10Again, we mentioned the pedigree of opponents he's faced.
13:13And Tommy Hyde is certainly on that list as Hyde continues to bring the heat.
13:19This one's scheduled for eight.
13:21And we'll see if Kidd's got eight rounds in him.
13:23If I was Kidd, I would not switch left-handed.
13:25It gives an opportunity to hit that right side of that body.
13:32Kidd trying to feign that left hand and fire in with the right, but Hyde saw it coming.
13:37As soon as you go down, come up.
13:45And once again, Michael Parente and Sukeray Oliveira thanking you for joining us on Swerve Combat TV here on Father's Day weekend.
13:52Championship jackpot presented by CES Boxing.
13:56And right now you're getting a good look at one of the top light heavyweight prospects,
14:01both domestically and internationally in Tommy Hyde,
14:05the Ireland native who has found his second home here in New England.
14:10It's the fourth time he has fought on U.S. soil.
14:12It's all been in New England.
14:14I love how Hyde, you know, he's coming forward with those hands going,
14:17but he also takes a step back with a punch.
14:21That right uppercut and left hook is put together.
14:25If it makes it past this round, I'm surprised.
14:28Apologies. Hyde's last fight was actually in California as he now lets his hands go again.
14:33Oh, okay.
14:34But he's been pretty busy here on U.S. soil.
14:36And now he is starting to really take it to Noah Kidd.
14:39The final 90 seconds of round four.
14:41That's a comment.
14:43You know, I always say, you know, your guy got hot.
14:46You know, he's going to keep trying, but do you want to see him getting a beating
14:49as the one that the governor's giving it to him right now?
14:52The body shots.
14:53Kidd is sitting on the ropes and down he goes.
14:55That should be scored a knockdown and it will be.
14:58The ropes were holding him up and Hyde landed an overhand right.
15:02And you can tell Kidd is exhausted but wants to keep going.
15:06Ricky Gonzalez giving him a check and he's not letting him go.
15:09There's a minute left in this round to last set up.
15:13First time I've seen him hold.
15:15I think that exhaustion has set in, Ray.
15:17And it's been a hard three and a half rounds for Noah Kidd.
15:21He comes right back, throwing.
15:23Just as we say it, Kidd has that third, fourth win
15:27and he's trying to just bring the fight to Hyde.
15:29But you're right, Ray.
15:30He's holding a little bit more here periodically than he was earlier.
15:33He is a dog.
15:34Sure.
15:35For sure.
15:36He's a dog.
15:37I don't think you get 19 pro fights at this age without being someone who
15:41people know can fight.
15:43That's a knockdown.
15:44I would have called it a knockdown.
15:46It was a body shot.
15:47Yeah, it's another borderline situation there where Kidd gets hit
15:51and it's a delayed reaction, so to speak.
15:54Not ruled a knockdown.
15:55That one was ruled a slip.
15:57Kidd's got 10 seconds to try to get through the fourth round,
15:59and down he goes.
16:00And that's going to do it.
16:02So Tommy Hyde gets the knockout victory at the bell with a body shot,
16:07dropping Noah Kidd to his knees.
16:10And that may have really been it.
16:12Honestly, I don't know if he would have come out for round five either way.
16:15I think there was just too much punishment.
16:17But Tommy Hyde with the proverbial walk-off home run at the bell
16:21with a body shot.
16:23And I think Ricky Gonzalez with a very good shot.
16:25It's there at the three-minute mark.
16:26Noah Kidd was taking away too much punishment.
16:28Very impressive Mohegan Sun debut for Tommy Hyde.
16:31It definitely was an impressive debut by the governor there, Tommy Hyde.
16:35You know, the body shot, that jab, the right hand, the angle.
16:39I didn't see anything he did wrong there at all.
16:42He had a tougher opponent in front of him, the Noah Kidd,
16:44who came out in spurts.
16:46He threw his punches and tried his best, and he got him out there.
16:50I think I agree with you on that, Ray.
16:53I think I agree with you on that, Ray.
16:55A very good test for Tommy Hyde against a 19-fight veteran,
16:58a guy who's been in there with some very good fighters.
17:01And a good test for Tommy Hyde to see where the barometer is at the moment.
17:05Now he can take this fight, put these four rounds in the bank,
17:08and see where he goes going into his next one.
17:10But take a look at some of his action here, Ray.
17:12You can see Noah Kidd, he came.
17:15He came punching, began a round, throwing some punches, keeping dead.
17:21And the governor stood his calm.
17:24Stood his calm, kept his cover up, let him get his bombs,
17:28and boom, picked it up right up top.
17:32You can see right now, Tommy Hyde, that body shot, the right uppercut.
17:38Everything was perfect today.
17:39I don't see one thing he did wrong at all.
17:44His dad, he wanted to support his dad, I bet, today for Father's Day.
17:47That's right, great Father's Day gift, giving your dad the victory of a knockout.
17:51And Tommy Hyde did just that tonight.
17:53A sensational performance here in Mohegan Sun.
17:56Let's set it up to Margaret Cresta with the particulars.
18:07Ladies and gentlemen, at three minutes into round number four,
18:11Ricky Gonzalez stops the bell for your winner by TKO,
18:15Tommy, the Governor, Hyde!
18:22So Tommy Hyde, there he goes with the victory.
18:25Now improving to 9-0 with his sixth win by knockout.
18:29A terrific performance in his Mohegan Sun debut,
18:32and perhaps we'll be seeing more of Tommy Hyde.
