Audacy NFL insider Mark Schlereth joined the GBag Nation to talk about the Cowboys, including if he thinks they'll move to 2-0 this weekend after playing the Saints, what he saw from the Cowboys' rookie offensive lineman in their game against the Browns, and what he saw from Derek Carr as he covered the Saints/Panthers game this past weekend.

00:00And now we're looking at New Orleans and six and a half point favorite.
00:19Will the Cowboys get to 2-0 Sunday afternoon against the Saints?
00:23Yeah, that's a great question.
00:25I did the sixth game last week, and now it's against the Carolina Panthers, so dig that
00:30for what it's worth.
00:31And the Carolina Panthers, when you look at their roster construction, you have to understand
00:35that I think they grabbed seven guys or seven or eight guys off the waiver wire, and I believe
00:42five or six of them were starting on Sunday.
00:45So other people's garbages are gold.
00:48So you've got to understand what their roster is actually constructed like right now.
00:54That's a rebuilding process in Carolina, so that's just part and parcel or part of the
01:01course, I guess, out there.
01:02But the New Orleans Saints, there are several things that are always true or have been true.
01:08Going back to Sean Payton, they're going to dominate lines of scrimmage.
01:12They're going to be built tough from the inside out, both on the offensive line of scrimmage
01:15and the defensive line of scrimmage, and that's going to allow them to do some pretty special
01:19things.
01:20They're going to have a guy that came over there.
01:21They're running the heck out of the ball under him, under that West Coast offense.
01:25The other thing is Derek Carr, look for him to have this resurgence this year because
01:29he's back in an offense that he ran for the Raiders all those years with John Gruden.
01:33It's something that he loves.
01:36And I think the Saints are a sneaky, good team that nobody's really talking about.
01:41So this is going to be a big challenge for the Dallas Cowboys without question.
01:45I think even more so than what they did last week, obviously, with Cleveland, because offensively
01:51Cleveland and Deshaun Watson were just so awful.
01:55They're just so bad.
01:56So I think this is going to be a much better challenge for the Cowboys.
