00:00More than 11,000 tons of sulfur dioxide was released by the volcano Canlaon in Negros Island within 24 hours yesterday.

00:09According to PBOX, that's the largest amount of sulfur dioxide released by Canlaon in one day since they set a record in 2009.

00:18It is also said that the chance of a magmatic eruption or lava eruption of the volcano is high, but it is not yet known how many.

00:25In 1902, the last magmatic eruption occurred in Canlaon.

00:29Since then, only phreatic or steam-driven eruptions have occurred.

00:34Aside from that, there are almost 80 eruptions recorded in the volcano in the past 24 hours.

00:40The volcano Canlaon remains at alert level 2, so it is still prohibited to enter the 4-kilometer radius permanent danger zone.
