00:02Hi I'm Theo with Manchester World and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking
00:05people about the government. That's because Labour have been in power for two months now
00:08and although many things have gone swimmingly there have been some controversies particularly
00:12surrounding the two child benefit cap and the scrapping of the winter fuel allowance.
00:16We want to know if people voted for Labour would they do so again?
00:19I did vote for them. I'm glad I voted for them. They seem to me to be a bunch of serious people.
00:26The most I've really heard about the Labour government is the banning of smoking in
00:31pub gardens and stuff like that which I think impacts businesses like
00:35especially pubs. I work in a pub and like when they're saying you can't smoke outside
00:39and stuff like that that's a big part of the clientele.
00:42I've got my doubts about the winter fuel thing. I'm a pensioner. I don't need that money and I'm
00:49not against I'm not opposed to it being means tested at all but I do think that they've excluded
00:55that some benefits that should have been included like housing benefit.
