00:00Another day, another round of, where in the world is Melania Trump?
00:04At this point in her husband's presidential campaign, it's not about what outfit she's
00:08donning to an important event. It's about whether Melania can even be bothered to show
00:12up in the first place. Spoiler alert for Donald Trump's latest appearance, she didn't.
00:17"...incredible, unforgettable."
00:19Instead, ahead of the televised debate between himself and Democratic opponent Kamala Harris
00:24on September 10, 2024, Melania pulled her signature disappearing act once again.
00:29But don't fret, her lookalikes, lawyer Alina Haba and Trump aide Margo Martin, were there
00:35to keep up appearances, quite literally.
00:37Meanwhile, Kamala had her husband, Doug Emhoff, by her side, making Melania's absence even
00:42more glaring. You've got to wonder why Donald needed to bring not one, but two of his wife's
00:47supposed doppelgangers, both of whom also just so happen to be on his payroll.
00:52Is the real Melania holed up somewhere penning that much-anticipated memoir? Or is her absence
00:57a signal that she's really not on board with her reportedly estranged husband running for
01:02office again?
01:03Why Melania skipped the second presidential debate of the year is anyone's guess, but
01:07if we had to bet money on it, the former first lady is probably stepping even further away
01:11from the spotlight, forcing her husband's team to bring Melania's lookalikes instead.
01:16Throughout the 2024 presidential campaign, the former model has been increasingly picky
01:20about her public appearances. And the last big event she showed up for was the Republican
01:24National Convention in July, where Melania made headlines for not speaking.
01:29According to political commentator Megyn Kelly, it's not that Melania's rooting against the
01:34Donald. Rather, the former first lady simply doesn't enjoy being the center of attention,
01:38noting she's not a political animal.
01:40Of course, the implication is she doesn't like him, she's just doing this under protest.
01:43Well, if she doesn't like him, she had plenty of opportunity to divorce him and she didn't
01:47do it."
01:48That said, Melania hasn't been entirely silent. In a move no one saw coming, she took to social
01:53media to once again react to the shocking assassination attempt on Donald's life, while
01:57also sneakily plugging her upcoming memoir.
02:00"'Why didn't law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech?' There is definitely
02:07more to this story."
02:09Aptly titled Melania, the book is set to drop on October 8, 2024.
02:13I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective,
02:22the truth."
02:23However, don't expect to get Melania's version of the truth on the cheap. The basic version
02:27of the book will reportedly set you back $40, $75 if you want it signed, and $150 for the
02:33signed white collector's edition with bonus photographs.
02:37In classic Trump fashion, the truth comes at a price. Maybe the next time we see Melania
02:41will be at a book signing, assuming she shows up, of course.
