00:00Terror.
00:02You are my fortress, my shelter in times of trouble.
00:06Psalm 59 verse 16.
00:09On May 22, 2017 Manchester and the whole of the UK was left devastated by the terror attack
00:16on the Manchester Arena.
00:18The bomb went off in the foyer area, which was filled with waiting parents and the teenagers
00:23and young kids leaving the Ariana Grande concert.
00:2723 people were killed and over 500 were injured.
00:31It is really scary to think that terrorist attacks like this can happen anytime, anywhere.
00:37It can feel like no one is safe.
00:40The Bible tells us that our safety doesn't come from security guards, the police or even
00:45our parents.
00:46It is found in God himself.
00:49The book of Psalms talks about hiding in God more than 40 times.
00:54Many of these references came from King David's own experience of being hunted and attacked
00:58by his enemies.
01:00In his prayers for help, he focused all his confidence on God.
01:04You are my fortress, my shelter in times of trouble.
01:08You are my strength, I sing praise to you, you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom
01:14I can rely.
01:15Trusting God doesn't mean he'll always keep us from difficulty or physical danger.
01:21But he does promise to be always with us as our security and shelter in every situation.
01:27In him we find real strength and confidence.
01:30There is nothing greater than our God.
01:33We belong to him and only he, not the terrors of this world, has all power.

01:41To Pray About
01:43Lord please cast away my anxious thoughts and help me believe wholeheartedly that you
01:47are with me in all situations.
01:51Mercy is found in trusting each day to God.
