00:00Hi, and welcome back to another episode of The Land's Last Loft, where we look at the

00:10I'm journalist Anca Depi.
00:12And I'm Livestock Editor, Rebecca Nudge.
00:15It has been a really hectic couple of weeks.
00:18We've had everything from a new average set for the season, right through to the DAWPA
00:22Nationals at Dubbo.
00:23Now, Becca, I heard it was quite a busy day last week at Melamara.
00:28You were actually on the ground cover, is it?
00:29I'll teach you how to go.
00:31Yeah, lucky enough to be there.
00:32Very impressive sale.
00:34Average $27,227.
00:38That is so impressive this season.
00:39Top prize of $140,000.
00:40Well done.
00:41$140,000.
00:42Thank you very much.
00:44$50,000.
00:45That's not as extreme as previous years, but so consistent throughout.
00:50And know where the buyer's from?
00:52Everywhere.
00:53Western Australia.
00:54A lot from Western Australia, a lot from Queensland, as well as locally.
00:58A lot of sales in that $40,000 to $70,000 mark, which is what would have boosted the
01:03average.
01:04But, yeah, a static result at the start, though, we're just through.
01:07That's awesome.
01:08They're certainly a stud that's making a big impact on the beef industry, that's for sure.

01:36It's only the stud's second sale, and the result was on par with last year.
01:40Another notable bull sale was Ben Nevis at Walker.
01:46A yearling topped the sale, selling for 100,000, with the 83 lots averaging 15,600.
01:53And Hazeldine recorded a full clearance of 142 bulls to top at 25,000 and averaged 13,106.
