00:00Springfield is a beautiful city, and we are a resilient city, and it's strange to even
00:08say this, but your pets are safe in Springfield, clearly.
00:12And it's just difficult to be a part of, you know, to be able to have to defend something
00:16like that.
00:17Our Springfield residents are absolutely concerned, you know, I'm not going to minimize the fact
00:21that we have had a fast-growing population in the last three or four years that has increased
00:26our population by 20 to 25%.
00:29If you do that to any community, anywhere, you're going to experience an infrastructure
00:33strain, you're going to experience a culture clash, you're going to experience many different
00:37ways that can cause stress and can cause difficulty in your community.
00:42Springfield, Ohio is trying to wrap our arms around this concern, and that's what we've
00:46been trying to do.
00:47And unfortunately, we can never move fast enough for many people, and other people know
00:51we're trying to do the best we can.
00:54But when you have fear spread, when you have misinformation spread virally, it causes the
01:00city government and the city staff members to have to deal with things that they, frankly,
01:06keeps them from running our city in an efficient way.
01:09And we're doing our best to triage the situation and take care of it.
