00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel. In this video, I will explain the ending of Hellraiser. So,

00:05let's begin.

00:06Hellraiser is a 2022 drama thriller film directed by David Bruckner.

00:11Hellraiser, 2022, stars Odessa Azzian as Riley, a young woman struggling with addiction.

00:18She lives with her brother Matt, Brandon Flynn, his friend Colin, Adam Faison, and their roommate

00:23Nora, Aoife Hines.

00:25One night, Riley's friend Trevor, Drew Starkey, convinces Riley to break open a safe in an

00:30abandoned warehouse, believing there must be something valuable inside. But, guess what,

00:36it's the puzzle box known in the series as the Lament Configuration.

00:41Matt later finds Riley with the box, a blade comes out of it and stabs his hand, then he

00:45disappears.

00:47The rest of the movie sees Riley, Colin, Trevor and Nora trying to find out more about the

00:51box and trying to track down Matt.

00:54Goran Visnyuk also stars as the villainous billionaire Roland Voight, and the gang's

00:58quest leads them to his abandoned mansion.

01:01Once they enter the mansion, things get confusing, so here we are taking you through the final

01:06act of the film.

01:07Spoilers ahead for the end of Hellraiser, 2022.

01:11Watch at your own risk.

01:13The big twist of Bruckner's new monster movie comes at around 1 hour and 20 minutes in,

01:18when we discover that Riley's boyfriend Trevor, Drew Starkey, has been in cahoots with Voight,

01:22Goran Visnyuk, this whole time.

01:25Voight has paid Trevor to find victims to feed to him, hoping that this will lead to

01:29him being freed of his painful existence.

01:32Shortly after this, Riley, Odessa Azian, and Colin, Adam Faison, make the decision to let

01:37one of the Cenobites, who we presume is the Asphyx, into the Voight mansion, in the hope

01:42they can use its blood to get to the next configuration instead of having to sacrifice

01:46one of their own.

01:48Riley has already lost her brother Matt, Brandon Flynn, and roommate Nora, Aoife Hines, by

01:53this stage, and doesn't want to sacrifice either Colin or Trevor, who she doesn't know

01:57is a traitor.

01:59But Riley drops the puzzle box, and Colin can't find it.

02:03This is because Voight has picked it up and he stabs Colin in the stomach with it, giving

02:07him a nice long slice.

02:09This is the first time that Riley has seen Voight in the flesh, and what flesh it is.

02:14Voight has the previous puzzle box, in its liminal configuration, shoved through his

02:18entire chest, in place of his heart and lungs, and it's keeping him alive.

02:23Riley discovers Trevor's treachery, and Colin helpfully asks, what is that?

02:28What the fuck is happening, leading Voight to do some exposition.

02:32He explains that, I chose liminal, I chose sensation, but the Cenobites' tastes were

02:37not what he imagined.

02:39Riley is most interested in the Lazarus configuration, believing it will bring her brother Matt back.

02:44Voight explains that whatever the Cenobites promise, all they have to give is pain.

02:50Colin tries to escape, but is trapped by the gasp, Selina Lowe, who begins to torture him.

02:55Riley lets Pinhead, also known as the priest, Jamie Clayton, and some of the other Cenobites

03:00into the cage that Voight believes he is safe in.

03:04Voight begs the priest to take the box out of his chest and let him die.

03:08She tells him that there's no retreat, once a threshold has been crossed.

03:12This cannot be ungiven, only exchanges can be made, for your efforts, we offer you the

03:17Leviathan configuration.

03:19Meanwhile, Riley is begging the gasp to leave Colin alone.

03:23Riley stabs Trevor with her puzzle box, which is the final blood tribute it needs.

03:29This causes Voight's box to disintegrate and fall out of his chest, and his organs regrow,

03:33healing him.

03:35Only for the hole to immediately reappear, thanks to an enormously thick chain which

03:39is launched through his body and lifts him up.

03:42The priest has such sights to show him, the crowd goes wild.

03:47Voight ascends further and further up, while Trevor is dropped into a pit, perhaps suggesting

03:51that one is going to heaven and one to hell, although surely that's all the same when the

03:55Cenobites are in charge?

03:57The priest asks Riley what she wants from them, and Matt appears saying, Riley, take

04:01me home, but Riley knows that nothing good can come from the Cenobites, so she says she

04:06wants nothing.

04:07The priest says that she will live a bitter life, full of regret, you have chosen the

04:11lament configuration.

04:14The box returns to its original cubic form, Riley puts it down on the floor of Voight's

04:18mansion, and the Cenobites disappear.

04:21Riley and Colin leave.

04:23Colin asks her if she made the right choice, and Riley doesn't answer.

04:27We see Voight in what looks like angelic form, in what looks like heaven.

04:32His skin is stripped away and pins are stuck in him, turning him into a Cenobite.

04:37But maybe not just any Cenobite, maybe the king of the Cenobites, Leviathan himself.
