00:00We are in the middle of the Anglo-Canadian sector.
00:04So over there you have the British sword,
00:07Juno,
00:09Gold, British,
00:11Omaha, Utah, American.
00:17The Canadian veterans who landed on June 6, 1944
00:20came back to the landing site with their children.
00:24And they wondered, when they would no longer be there to tell the story,
00:28who would tell it after them, and how?
00:31And that's when they had the idea to create a memory centre,
00:34a place of memory, a place of commemoration, a place of education,
00:37which would allow the story to be told after them.
00:45The veterans also wanted a room that shows Canada today,
00:48the country and the values for which they fought.
00:51In 2023, we started the major renovation work of this room,
00:54so that we could install more digital equipment.
00:59We developed tools that would be less carbonized
01:03and that would allow a visitor experience.
01:06This is also part of the sustainable development.
01:11We also invested in the circular economy,
01:15with tools such as a recycler that allows us to recycle plastic,
01:19which we collect from the waste collected on the site and inside the museum.
01:24These objects can either be resold at the store,
01:27so we are really in the circular economy,
01:29or they can be used to make objects that we need at the museum.
