00:00I knew we had to do something to come together and just show a sign of appreciation for all
00:07the work that they do here. I personally live across the road from St Eden's Church so I've
00:11seen every single Thursday them coming down with the meals they've cooked to help our community.
00:17Initially we set the fundraiser up and it was a target of £200 which was smashed in I think 12
00:23minutes. I was messaged by a few people to change this to £1,000 which we then smashed in under an
00:29hour. This was at I'm going to say around about nine o'clock at night while the protest was still
00:35happening. The next day I woke up and within 24 hours we'd actually managed to raise over £10,000
00:43just from people in Hardypool and the local community alone. It's truly an outstanding
00:49testament to what our town can do, our generosity, our altruistic attitude. We just sometimes need a
00:55bit of a platform to come together and that opportunity to show our appreciation for everyone
00:59else and all the work that they do and some really lovely messages here.
