00:00Straight from the Emmys to the after party. What was your favorite part of the show tonight?
00:04The fact that I did not trip down the stairs in front of Meryl Streep. That was my big concern tonight
00:09For you, we're celebrating TV tonight and you have a new show coming out. Dr. Odyssey. What can you tell us about it?
00:16that it is a
00:17Beautiful shiny glossy fantasy from Ryan Murphy. Yeah, it's a it is
00:22I've just seen the first two episodes and the chemistry of the cast is great
00:27We're getting along like a house on fire. The storylines are fast. It's Ryan Murphy dialogue. So it has that sizzle and crackle to it
00:34The situations are outlandish and over-the-top and the sets are beautiful. The clothes are beautiful
00:39Yeah, it's a happy place to be for an hour. Ryan Murphy is always always referred to as a prolific TV producer
00:45What do you think it is? That makes him so prolific and just creating, you know show after show that's a hit
00:50well, clearly he's got a
00:52Hell of an imagination right that he just keeps on coming up with these ideas
00:56But I also just I think that he loves television. I love I think he loves long-form storytelling and
01:02He is unusual in that. He also has these two like really distinct pieces of himself, right?
01:08He has the the very very dark side and then he has the lighter sort of comedic sometimes
01:14Musical side of him and he's able to do both with equal genius. I mean, it's pretty impressive
01:19Also, you are in the new Karate Kid movie, correct? Yes, very highly anticipated
01:24Everybody is very excited for this crossover between you know, Jackie and Ralph. What can you share about working on it?
01:31It was a ton of fun. I can't share too much and we'll be talking about that later on in the year
01:36But yeah, I mean you hit on the big pieces the young man who is playing the new Karate Kid. It did yeoman's work
01:42I'm so impressed with the physical work that he did to to be able to do that because it's no CG
01:47It's all practical effects. He actually did it which is very unusual these days and
01:52Yeah, I think I mean I haven't seen the movie, but I'm hoping it's what everybody hopes it to be
02:00Yeah, yeah we shot at Montreal
