00:00In Brazil, the Fire Department continues efforts to extinguish wildfires ranging in Brasilia

00:05National Park, where smoke is affecting major cities.

00:08Amid one of the biggest droughts in Brazil's history, the Brasilia National Park became

00:13the epicenter of a series of wildfires.

00:16Authorities warn that the fire has caused cities such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo

00:20to be affected by the smoke.

00:22According to official figures from the Chico Mendes Institute for the Conservation of Biodiversity,

00:28responsible for the management of Brazil's national parks, so far the flames have affected

00:32about 1,200 hectares.

00:36This is the largest fire to occur in the city this year.

00:43In the Philippines, at least six dead and 11 injured have been reported following the

00:48strike of Typhoon Bebinka in central and southern regions of the country.

00:53The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council confirmed that at least 330,000 people

00:59were affected after the typhoon struck the Asian country.

01:03According to the agency, so far evacuation centres are sheltering more than 30,000 people.

01:09The authorities continue to be mobilised to manage the emergency and to calculate the

01:13damage to the infrastructures caused by the climatic phenomenon, which according to meteorological

01:26In Thailand, the two-month-old pygmy hippo, Moodang, has been inciting media attention

01:32and endorsements from organisations like the Royal Thai Embassy, which can be helpful for

01:37safeguarding her species.

01:39The International Union for Conservation of Nature classified pygmy hippos as endangered

01:45species as there are less than 3,000 in the wild.

01:49The baby hippo has doubled visitors at Khao Kew Open Zoo as she became the start of social

01:55media, causing several companies to promote their products with Moodang themes.

02:04CCTV cameras around the hippo's enclosures.
