00:00Thousands of Filipino POGO workers in NCR will be affected by the closure of POGOs in the country.

00:06The Department of Labor and Employment is preparing a job fair for those who will lose their jobs.

00:11This is what Rod Lagusa reported.

00:17This is the place for those who will lose their jobs because of the banning of POGOs in the country.

00:23On October 10, the job fair will be held in a mall in Paranaque City.

00:27As of now, we have mapped them where the employees will be affected

00:35in cooperation with our PESO, our Public Employment Services Office of the LGUs.

00:44What we can give them as help is that we have the famous Tupan and also our livelihood.

00:56According to the DOLE-NCR, more than 17,000 people will be affected in the entire NCR.

01:02The DOLE-NCR's activity is to support the displaced POGO workers.

01:06The organizer of the job fair on October 10 is the Muntapayas Field Office of the DOLE-NCR.

01:12So the one who organized this is PESO Paranaque.

01:17But of course, other displaced POGO workers are welcome even if they are not residents of Paranaque or Muntapayas area.

01:25As of September 16, based on the data of the DOLE-NCR,

01:2948 internet gaming licenses were given by the list of their Filipino employees who will be affected by their closure.

01:37Most of these are administrative tasks and will be encoded.

01:42Meanwhile, some displaced workers since the closure of Sofitel have already undergone livelihood business planning and social preparation.

01:50Our livelihood assistance has been processed for them.

01:54The livelihood grant will be given to 123 displaced workers of Sofitel.

02:01So we are done with their business planning and social preparation.

02:05For now, we are just waiting for them to submit their documentary requirements.

02:10And then after that, we will award the livelihood assistance to them.

02:15The first job fair was organized for the displaced workers of the hotel.

02:19The DOLE-NCR promised continuous assistance for them to start again.
